Welcome to The Gathering House at Riverside, a thoughtfully renovated 1940s home designed specifically for groups seeking both connection and privacy. This 6-bedroom charmer features keypad locks and dedicated workspaces in every room, making it perfect for professional retreats, extended family gatherings, or friend reunions where individual schedules may vary.

The Gathering House seamlessly blends original 1940s architectural character with thoroughly modern amenities following our comprehensive 2025 renovation. Classic hardwood floors, period fireplaces, and charming built-ins coexist beautifully with contemporary comforts throughout this spacious two-story home.

Each of our six bedrooms has been thoughtfully designed with today's travelers in mind. You'll find plush memory foam mattresses promising restful sleep, large-screen smart TVs for entertainment, and dedicated workspaces with convenient outlets. The bedrooms showcase a variety of styles—from traditional spaces with historic fireplaces to bright rooms with trendy tropical mint accents and decorative iron beds. Keypad locks on bedroom doors add an extra layer of security and convenience, especially appreciated by groups where members keep different schedules.

The home's flexible layout accommodates groups of varying sizes. The main floor offers one bedroom plus a family room that easily converts to a second bedroom when using the kitchen door as the primary entrance. Upstairs, you'll find four additional private bedrooms, ensuring everyone has their own retreat space.

The common areas invite connection and conversation. Our bright yellow front porch with comfortable rattan seating creates the perfect setting for morning coffee or evening unwinding. The back patio features a charcoal grill and outdoor dining, ideal for group meals under the Florida sky.
Inside, the generously sized living room features comfortable seating and a unique hanging chair—perfect for relaxation after productive work sessions. The sunroom-style dining area bathes in natural light through large windows overlooking lush greenery, creating an ideal gathering spot for meals, meetings, or evening board games.

The fully renovated kitchen combines functionality with style, featuring black tile countertops, ample cabinet space, and updated appliances including dishwasher and full-size refrigerator. Period-appropriate white cabinetry maintains the home's historic aesthetic while providing modern convenience for group meal preparation.

The unique bathroom arrangement spans four separate rooms: one full bathroom with tub and shower, one full bathroom with shower only, a dedicated powder room, and a standalone shower room. This thoughtful configuration—equivalent to three full bathrooms divided among four spaces—offers flexibility for larger groups and helps prevent morning congestion.

Located just 0.3 miles from the heart of 5 Points' shopping and dining district and 0.5 miles from Riverside Park, The Gathering House offers the perfect home base for exploring Jacksonville's most charming neighborhoods. Whether you're visiting for business retreats, family reunions, or professional conferences, our renovated historic home provides the space, comfort, and convenience to make your group stay memorable.
