Hurricane Lowell Update (9/9/26): Our thoughts are with everyone on Kauai still recovering from Hurricane Lowell, especially those who lost their homes — parts of the island, including areas of Poipu, were hit hard. For guests with an upcoming stay: we inspected this property in person, found no storm damage, and roads and access here are normal. Recovery across the island is ongoing and will take time. The Neighborhood:
Hoone Rd, fronting Poipu Beach Park and Brenneckes Beach, turns into Pee Rd. This winding street is a popular place to watch the sunset on the wall fronting Nihi Kai or to walk one way and return to the Poipu Kai Greenbelt.
Getting Around:
When visiting Kauai, we highly recommend renting a car to enhance your experience and give you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. While there are other transportation options available, such as the Kauai Bus, it's important to note that the bus service may not run as frequently as you might expect.
Having a rental car allows you to easily access all the incredible sights and attractions that Kauai has to offer. From the stunning Na Pali Coast to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to visit these iconic locations on your own schedule.

Our party ranged in age from twenties, thirties, fifties, and sixties. Everyone enjoyed the property equally. Really enjoyed the access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club with the stay at this property. Poipu Crater is its own ecosystem. Magnificent lush setting and then you are only minutes walking to the ocean. Magnificent pool area was enjoyed daily after beach visits. Property managers were helpful with questions and troubleshooting. Two weeks went by too fast. Easy drive from the airport. Look forward to a future visit!

Outstanding place to stay! We loved the space and especially the outdoor patio. Close enough to beaches and made use of the pool on the property too :)
