This cheerful sunshine yellow cottage is sure to bring a smile to your face!
On a large sloping section surrounded by native bush, this 1-bedroom cottage is a relaxed coastal getaway on NZ's rugged and beautiful west coast. Surfer's Sunshine Cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and is pet-friendly too, with Piha Beach and the surrounding Waitakere Ranges offering scenic walk and hiking tracks. There's a shortcut track leading directly to the beach right across the road also.
Wake up in the comfy downstairs bedroom and head upstairs to make a coffee and check the surf report from the deck. There is also a fold out sofa bed in the upstairs lounge. Surfer's Sunshine Cottage has stunning views out over Lion Rock and Piha's famous swells.
Whether you're heading to Piha for a relaxing detox weekend, adrenaline pumped surf trip or laidback family getaway, you'll have a comfortable stay here.

Please note there are steep, narrow stairs going down to the bedroom and bathroom. The ceiling height downstairs is 188cm, so taller guests need to be mindful.
If you're bringing a furry friend, please ensure they are up to date with their flea treatments!
Please note there is no Wi-Fi at this property.
Please be aware that Off Street parking at this property is along a grassed driveway without room for turning. Up to two cars can park on this area. To drive out, it is necessary to reverse out onto Seaview Road, being mindful of traffic.
Please note that the property can allow up to a maximum of 4 guests at all times. Please note that the no parties policy is strictly enforced at this property. Guests are kindly requested to keep voices and music low (especially outside) between 10pm and 8am so that the neighbours are not disturbed.

Successful four days for our family catchup. Stairs to bedroom/bathroom we would not recommend for the 70+. Property ideal for the short and young. Thank goodness for the side door entrance. Even our small foxy fell down while going down and coming up these stairs and refused to use the stairs. No communication made with manager. A recommendation for your manager would be to air the house our before quests arrive. Have windows open. Downstairs in particular was very musky even after four days of airing out. It made sleeping a challenge with the smell and sneaky mosquitoes who evaded open windows. Bed was super comfortable. The property had everything you need while away from home. Lounge and deck great sunny spaces to relax. Internet connection very good. A reversing camera almost essential for backing onto main road. Thanks for the stay.

The house was everything we expected, cosy and clean. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped. A cake baking tin could be added to the cupboard. Access in and out of the driveway is on a dangerous corner. Thank goodness we took one of our own heaters with us. The heater downstairs is barely adequate to heat rooms for mid winter. We went for a quiet break and much needed rest. Unfortunately the next door neighbours held band practice in their basement for hours on end over two nights with the doors open. This was approximately 20 metres away. This was stressful to my partner and a disappointment for me. I had been looking forward to this break. I would not reccommend this bach to others on these grounds.
