Absolutely worth seeing is Uzès, 20 km away, with its famous market, restaurants, its castle and its churches. The candy museum is also interesting. In summer you can visit bullfighting events in every village of the region. The capital of the Gard, Nîmes, with its Roman monuments, is also worth a visit. For the more active, only about 5 minutes away is the starting point for canoeing or hiking or a bike ride.
