THE SPACE
Blackstone House is designed around the calm, open feeling of the desert, with comfortable interiors and plenty of space to enjoy the property itself. Inside, the kitchen, dining, and living areas flow together into a natural gathering space for slow breakfasts, shared dinners, and relaxed evenings after exploring Joshua Tree. All three bedrooms feature king-size beds, including a primary suite with an en-suite bathroom and bathtub. A queen sofa bed provides additional sleeping space for groups of up to eight guests. Step outside and the pace changes. The pool and spa sit against a backdrop of Joshua Trees and open desert, while the bocce court gives your group an easy reason to stay outside a little longer. Whether your plans revolve around the national park or doing very little at all, Blackstone House gives you a private place to come back to and enjoy the High Desert at your own pace.

BBQ GRILL
Our BBQ grill runs on propane gas, which we provide, so there’s no need to bring your own.
POOL HEATING
Pool heating is available with at least one day's notice and can reach up to 85°F. The fee is $180/day from May through September and $250/day from October through April. Pool and spa heating cannot operate simultaneously.
SPA
Spa use is included at no additional charge.
PETS
Up to two dogs are welcome with a $100 fee per pet, per stay. All pets must be disclosed before arrival.
PARKING
Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles in front of the house.
POOL SERVICE
Routine pool service takes place Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Our technician accesses the outdoor area only and does not need to enter the home.

PARTIES, EVENTS & VISITORS
Parties and events are not permitted. Any additional visitors must be approved by the host before arrival and must leave the property by 9:00 PM in accordance with local STR requirements. Unauthorized visitors may result in a $200 fee per person.
POOL & SPA SAFETY
Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times while using or being near the pool and spa. No diving or glass is permitted in the pool area. Please use the pool and spa responsibly and at your own risk.
PETS & POOL
Pets are not permitted in the pool or spa. Guests are responsible for their pets at all times and for any damage or additional cleaning caused during the stay. Please also be mindful of cactus and other desert plants when pets are outdoors.
DESERT WILDLIFE
Blackstone House is surrounded by a natural desert environment. Insects, rodents, snakes, spiders, and other wildlife may occasionally be encountered. Please keep doors closed when possible and remain aware of your surroundings. Encounters with wildlife or insects that are part of the natural desert environment are not grounds for a refund.
PLUMBING & SEPTIC SYSTEM
Blackstone House uses a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Improper use resulting in clogged or damaged plumbing may result in a $200 repair fee.
NO SMOKING
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside the property or within 15 feet of exterior doors. Failure to follow this policy may result in a $100 additional cleaning fee.
SECURITY CAMERAS
In accordance with insurance company requirements, exterior security cameras monitor the front and rear entrance areas for guest and property safety. All security cameras are located outside the property. There are no cameras inside the home. Cameras may not be tampered with, covered, or disabled during your stay.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE
Personal photos and videos are welcome, and you're welcome to tag @visithideaway. Professional, promotional, commercial, or revenue-generating photography and filming require prior approval and may be subject to production fees. Unauthorized commercial shoots may result in a $5,000 violation fee plus applicable production fees of up to $575/hour. If you're unsure whether your shoot qualifies as commercial use, please contact us before booking.
LATE CHECK-OUT
Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Guests who remain at the property after 11:05 AM will be charged a $75 late check-out fee for every 30 minutes past the check-out time.
DAMAGES
Accidents happen. If anything is damaged, broken, or seriously stained during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so our team can assist. Guests are responsible for damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow property guidelines.
Guest Access:
You'll have private access to the home and its guest amenities during your stay. The property uses a smart lock, and your access code will be provided before arrival.

Blackstone House is located in a peaceful Joshua Tree setting, approximately 10 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. Restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and other local desert experiences are also a short drive away, giving you convenient access to the area while preserving the privacy of the property.

Read this review before you make a booking. We would not book again even though we liked the house and landscaping.
We had a great arrival Sunday night January 7th. Unfortunately, we were awoken very early the next morning to loud truck noise, Initially we thought it was a garbage truck but the noise did not stop. We got pout of bed to discover Black C house is just feet away – literally feet away- from an active construction site. If we had been alerted to this prior to booking this house we would have definitely made other plans and chosen a different house. We did text to the property manager but never heard back.
Apart from the upsetting daily morning noise we felt a complete lack of privacy. It was not attractive to be in the kitchen and see the parked vehicles of the construction workers and watch them going about their business through the curtainless kitchen window. We were in essence surrounded by construction vehicles and an earth moving machine, It should be noted that there is a second construction site a little further away which impacted us less but the hammering and soldering noise was pretty loud and constant. We ended up having our breakfast and lunches inside rather than talk over the constant noise and the sight of the earth mover going back and forth to level the site for the two new houses. The construction noise was done by about 3.00pm.
In addition to the early morning construction noise which really destroyed our Joshua Tree experience we
