Around the corner from the beach, restaurants, ice cream shops, parks and more, this place is the perfect summer getaway! Want to go into Boston for a game or experience historical Salem? The commuter rail is just a 15 minute walk down the street, brining you right to downtown Salem or directly into the Boston Garden.

We had a great time. The house is roomy, clean and cutely decorated. We enjoyed visiting many of Salem's historic locations including Proctor's Ledge Memorial on Gallows Hill, Essex street shops, and a haunted trolley ride.The Haunted Happenings Parade was amazing too. My husband and brother-in-law love the movie Hocus Pocus , so we were able to visit several of the filming sites in Salem and Marblehead. Swampscott is a beautiful area with historic restored homes. On Sunday there is a farmer's market there, and we were able to walk over and browse. Even though it wasn't beach season, I walked over and put my chair in the sand and relaxed with the sea breeze and sun while I read. Nancy, the host, was very responsive when the coffeemaker went on the fritz.
