Recently refurbished and totally modernised, The Lindsay House shows a sharp contrast from the external appearance of a sandstone villa built nearly 200 years ago, to that of a fully modernised minimalist modern interior. The 2-bedroom property exclusively occupies the entire garden floor of a beautiful Victorian villa. Screened from the neighbours by lush trees and old stonewalling, The Lindsay House garden offers privacy and tranquillity. Guests can enjoy the garden with the use of extensive garden furniture.
Accommodation comprises a large, bright kitchen with fully fitted modern appliances such as a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, large fridge freezer and coffee machine. The open-plan living and dining area has ample seating for 6 around the main dining table. The living space has ample comfortable seating for 6 guests and is also equipped with a full range of both visual and audio technology and Wireless Internet connection.
There is an assortment of sleeping accommodations in the property to suit each group's needs ranging from twin double beds to super king-size in the Master ensuite bedroom. Each bedroom has ample storage and blackout shutters and curtains are in place in each room.

A range of comfortable sofas and high-back chairs enable everyone to lounge together after a day of activities! From here, accessed through the French Doors an additional living space situated in the Conservatory offers the added benefit of a full set of furniture which can also be placed outside on a warm sunny day.

The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked, with all of the appliances and amenities you'd find at home, including a coffee maker, dishwasher, and washing machine and has plenty of room for your self-catering holiday groceries. The kitchen island with 2 stools makes a great space for you to relax and chat with other members of your group whilst cooking and planning your next day trip in the local area.

The Lindsay House – don’t look anywhere else for THE best accommodation in Stirling.
Everything about this property was spot on, starting from the booking process and property management, through to the very high standard of accommodation. We had 12 nights over Christmas, and this property made our stay really special.
Standout features – cleanliness, booking process, quality of interior, personal touches upon arrival (welcome gifts), and to top it off, there were Christmas decorations put up for our stay. Another great highlight is the location - walking distance to the town centre, and no need for a car. We were able to catch the train to both Edinburgh and Glasgow in less than 15minutes walk. And, even with being so close to town the area is quiet and private. Thank you to the team at Stirling Self Catering

It was a wonderful surprise when we arrived there! The apartment was spacious and very tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped and we even had some food and beverage to start our stay. Everything was very well organized with the customer service first and then the guide and explanations on the house. The Director Kirsteen was very helpful.
We would definitely recommend Lindsay House (very close to the center of Stirling too). A warm welcome in Scotland as usual! What a nice country and people you have!

Our recent stay at the Lindsay House was phenomenal. We walked in to a beautifully designed unit with every amenity at our fingertips. It was clear that exceptional thought had gone into the planning of the space from outlets with usb ports to games in the cabinets to goodies on the counter (incredible after a long flight from the states!). There were hair dryers, massive closets and storage, extra blankets, tea bags, recent travel guides, every cooking utensil you could want, AND beautiful weather! Having thought of everything else, I wouldn't be surprised if the owners had some kind of hand in that as well!
My son said that the bed felt like a marshmallow and I'd have to agree. I'm generally not a fan of rain-head showers but this one had plenty of pressure and I liked that the mirror could be lit at a touch without having to turn on the main lights. (The kids got a kick out of the infinite colors to "decorate" the bathroom.) A really nice touch was the ability to shut the door to the bedroom area from the living room and kitchen so we could enjoy a glass of wine and tv after the kids went down without waking them - something that is always a concern when traveling in unknown spaces.
Speaking of spaces, the sunroom was delightful. The views onto the very private, beautifully landscaped garden were a real treat. Since we got such great weather, we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating as well. (I'm pretty sure we made use of all lounging areas.) I don't know if we were allowed to eat the apples from the tree but the kids pulled a few and nibbled on them (note: the novelty is the draw, not the taste).
Though we had rented a car for the trip, we took advantage of the location on several days. It was so easy to walk into town for a morning coffee and croissant. We toured the Stirling jail on our 2nd day in town (highly recommended) and delighted in the curvy roads and sweet, independent shops. While no food really blew us away while we were there, it was easy to order pickup from any number of restaurants. This brings me to the only amenity missing from the Lindsay House: ketchup. My barbaric American children wouldn't go for vinegar on their fries/chips so we collected ketchup packets when we were out. Don't worry; we left a stash behind.
Everything was just perfect during our stay. We've already recommended it to others and we tell them that they have to book far in advance since dates fills up quickly. We feel exceptionally lucky to have stayed here and can't wait to have another Scottish adventure so we can do it all again with the Lindsay House as our home base!

To be this close to the city but this quiet and to have access to a conservatory and private garden, is very special. We will be back.
