Dunes Away Beach House really is the ultimate location for the perfect PEI beach vacation. 350 feet of private sandy beachfront on the Island's famous north shore are yours to enjoy and with more than 30 acres of mature forest behind the house, seclusion and privacy are assured.
Constructed in 2012, every detail of the more than 2000 square foot house has been custom designed for luxury and to take advantage of the amazing ocean view. Open concept living at it's best, the great room contains the kitchen, dining and living areas to comfortably bring everyone together. Wall to wall window's flood the room with light and the soaring vaulted ceilings give an expansive and airy feel to the space. The living area is centered around the massive one-of-a-kind Island Stone fireplace and the large dining table will comfortably accommodate the entire group. For the chefs (and general food lovers!) the well-equipped kitchen features custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a huge island for food preparation and socializing while taking full advantage of the ocean view. Finally, there is a screened-in room off the kitchen for barbecuing.
The master bedroom suite is separate from the other bedrooms at one end of the house. The master features an antique queen size four poster bed and lots of windows providing great water views. The spacious master bathroom has a deep soaker tub surrounded by windows and a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom has an antique queen size four poster bed with great water views. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed and is separated from the second bedroom by the main bathroom with shower.
For the golfers in the group the championship Links at Crowbush Cove is just a 10 minute drive. Within 30 - 45 minutes you can also be teeing off at, Brudenell River, Dundarave, Eagles Glenn, Andersons Creek, Glasgow Hills, Stanhope and Green Gables golf courses.
For restaurants, activities, shopping and amenities the capital city of Charlottetown is just a 25 minute drive. Looking for fresh seafood right off the boat? Covehead Harbour is just 20 minutes away. And if a day at one of our National Parks locations is in order, Greenwich, Stanhope, Dalvay and Brackley are also just a 20 minute drive.

Beautiful Home lacking warm welcome. A marvelous home well equipped with high end appliances, furniture, interior decorating, all a cook needs in the kitchen, interesting art work. (Lithographs, paintings, etc.) and a wide variety of books, a large property with no neighbours close-by, beautiful landscaping and view of the ocean through 75% of the windows. We would have given the home a 5 stars-excellent rating but had some issues.1- Major problem with the key box upon arrival and departure: a massive metal box with a 4 digit code that does release the lid to access the key or to put it back. Nowadays most rentals we have had have a user-friendly keyless digital box.2-The home is isolated which has benefits but the guest guide book did not have a welcome message, a map of the area or information on the whereabouts of grocery stores, pharmacies, and other services. Advanced notice from the property managing service would have been appreciated given that the home is 40 minutes away from Charlottetown where we eventually were able to provide for our needs.3-The home did not provide shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and we were previously advised of this decision. However every VRBO home we have rented in the last 5 years, in the same price range did supply these amenities in distributor bottles ensuring no waste. And yes we bring along our own but it is also useful as a just-in-case.These issues, once dealt with would make one feel more as a guest, not just a renter.

Best place we have ever stayed. Stunning home with beautiful decor. Peaceful quiet location with a stunning view of the ocean. Minutes from the ocean where we enjoyed many walks. Sunsets were fabulous.

The interior house is beautiful but the exterior need care and the rosier take a lot of space. Why do not make a way directly to the beach from the house? It will be a really positive attraction.
