This place is a gem! It’s a perfect place for large family gatherings, and the location is ideal. I loved sipping my coffee on the screened in porch every morning. The dining room, kitchen, porch, and ground-level areas accommodate 10 people comfortably. I also loved the old time charm and cool Knick knacks. Two things to keep in mind - if you’re traveling with someone who has mobility issues or you have more than 4 vehicles, this location is probably not a good fit. There are a lot of stairs and parking is limited. Lastly, we did have some issues with cleanliness and the host was very responsive and apologetic, and addressed our concerns appropriately. I would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately, our experience with this rental was disappointing. Upon arrival for our scheduled check-in time, the property had not yet been cleaned, and we had to wait approximately an hour before we could enter the home.Once inside, we discovered that spray chemicals had been left stored in the stairwell leading to the upstairs bedrooms. The stairwell was extremely hot, and the presence of cleaning supplies in that area raised safety concerns.The air conditioning had been left set at 80 degrees, making the house uncomfortably warm upon arrival. It took several hours for the home to cool down, and we ultimately had to have the AC system checked during our stay. Even after running for an extended period, the home struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature. Additionally, the piers located on the property were not accessible from the house, which was unexpected based on the pics but understandable.While the property itself has potential, the delayed readiness, cooling issues, and chemical concerns were negative, our vacation experience was overall good. The location is nice and quiet and the property was convenient. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
