Nestled on the banks just above the North Fork of the Washougal River, this wonderful retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all. The surrounding beauty and tranquil sounds are something to experience any time of the year.
Upon arriving you are greeted with a long circular driveway leading to the cabin make it perfect for multiple cars even if towing a trailer or boat. The front deck offers some comfy casual seating with one of the two fire-tables available for your enjoyment.
As you enter through the front door, you are immediately ensconced in a cabin feel that radiates warmth and comfort. The open floor plan combines the living, dining, and kitchen layout creating a fantastic space for your small group or family to enjoy and make memories together. Every piece of the décor and furnishing was curated to help create that perfect blend of cabin style and comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped for any of your culinary desires. Also tucked away in the corner is a wood burning stove. If you are travelling with kiddos do be careful as it does get incredibly warm when in use.
One of the best amenities has to be the backyard deck. It extends out and practically hangs over the river below. You can hear the water rush across and around the rocks and fallen trees which makes for the perfect backdrop to take in all the other sights and sounds of the forests beyond. The round fire-table makes for a great spot to consume any of your grilling creations from the nearby BBQ as well.
Ascending upstairs, you'll find the two bedrooms. One is a traditional style bedroom with a king bed. Just off one side there is a small deck with seating room for two. The other bedroom has a twin over twin bunk bed and a small half bath attached to it.
There is little doubt The North Fork Retreat will be a wonderful location for you to stay while enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.

-No fishing is allowed in front of the cabin or anywhere on the North Fork.
-If you visit the river please stay in the area in front of the cabin. Neighbors own down to the river and we need to stay on our property.

The sound of the rushing river from the bedroom at night and at all times of day was wonderful. The neighbor's bunny rabbits and chickens that would visit the property were fun and a neighbor cat shimmer up a tree right in front of the back porch! The Mercantile up the street is handy and well stocked fwiw.It is a great place and anyone coming here will have fabulous time, we never left for anything but a few groceries it was so nice...

We were a family of 3 in town for a bike race. The cabin was perfect. Felt like a real vacation. Quiet and secluded but not far from towns. Very well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds.

This property, overlooking the river was spotlessly clean and well kept. The kitchen is well stocked with condiments and came with a little surprise for us. The calming sound of the river and the natural surroundings were just what we were looking for and we look forward to returning!

I was excited about this place based on reviews, but the moment I checked in I was hit with several awful smells. The downstairs smelled like fish or rotting food, and the stairs and upstairs smelled like pet urine. It was 95 degrees so I couldn’t open the windows so we had candles and coffee grounds everywhere to help the smell. The property manager was responsive but I used the provided cleaning supplies to handle it faster and without coordinating around our plans. The smell never left during our stay. The walk to the river is not very convenient, especially for young kids. I wont stay here again.
