An immaculately renovated 1895 Victorian home that was featured in a before and after on Country Living magazine's website. This house has a warm, cozy vibe with original hardwood floors, updated kitchen and bathrooms, tasteful furnishings and a giant back porch for catching the evening breeze. Enjoy the blend of old and new, such as exposed ship lap walls in the dining room and authentic molding throughout against the modern conveniences of a Bosch dishwasher and a Whirlpool washer and dryer. It's perfect for any type of getaway you need — a girls' weekend, a couple's getaway, or anyone interested in what it's really like to live right in the heart of a small Texas town.
Aside from its charm, it is 1/4 mile from all that downtown Waxahachie has to offer. You can meander down to the College Street Pub for a cold beer, live music, and tasty English fare. Or head to Farmluck for lunch and something sweet from their old fashioned soda fountain. Or grab a glass of wine at Cork Haus. If you want a taste of Dallas, head just 20 minutes north on 35 to the Bishop Arts District to eat modern Southern fair at Hattie's.
This home is family friendly and features an upstairs playroom stocked with toys. A pack-n-play is available on request. The home is also within walking distance to Waxahachie's newest splash park, as well as a newly finished playground at the Presbyterian church, just a short walk down Oldham Street.

My sisters were on our annual girls getaway and stayed here for three nights. The property is a historical home on a quiet street among other historical homes. It’s close to the downtown area which is what we wanted as we like to visit antique and boutiques and eat at local restaurants. It’s clean and we had everything that we needed. Thank you Catherine!

There is a lot to say about this house don't let it fool you its bigger on the inside than the outside or so it seems. its a relaxing environment the moment you walk in the front door, it has a vintage smell that was greatly appreciated by me and my friends. The wood floor is creaky and the house has an echo. But! That's the experience its as vintage as you can get! I could definitely see this being an amazing holiday home for a family of 5. The host (Katherine) is great at keep in touch almost responding at all hours of the day surprisingly enough. And graciously was able to extend our stay for another day. From what i can tell is the house was expanded and improved on a few times over compared to the original. Truly a lovely home.(Id tell you more but it would spoil the experience so go book it yourself try it out. Something that got to me a little bit is as a private person not all the doors fully close and latch most do but not all the bathrooms...

Wonderful home. Extremely clean. Well equipped. Great location. Our host was excellent. Highly recommend.
