Westwind was the perfect place for our family vacation. Our daughter and her family stayed in a condo here as well. We enjoyed having the pools and beach literally at the back door. Everything we could need was provided. Our condo was clean and comfortable.

Perfect for a couples getaway, location was directly off the beach with beautiful sunrise & sunset view. Having the beach chairs and umbrella in the room made it easy to come and go from the beach at our lesiure.

This was our 2nd time staying at this exact unit. Overall we made great memories & the Vacation Haven Customer Service was excellent. 1. The rating of "3" was given due to the condo looks exactly the same as it did 6 years ago. Could use more comfortable balcony furniture & pillows on couch need TLC. Just a little updating to feel cozy. 2. Completely disappointed with beach/chair rental pricing & limitations. The Beach is the entire reason for a vacation here. When you have to go down the beach to find a place to set up for 2 people so you can see the water, that is really discouraging. In addition, the beach chair rental company pricing was confusing & unacceptable. Cost more unless you book directly through San Destin so basically we were penalized for booking through My Vacation Haven. Finally, even if we paid the price to rent chairs, they would be in the very back row & we were there at 9:00am. Employee said we would move up rows the more days we were there. 😅3. Our last night was concerning due to loud screaming, kicking the condo door exactly one condo beneath us on the 8th floor for 2 hours by possibly an autistic handicapped child. He was having an episode where he literally hung off the balcony on the 8th floor causing several occupants to come outside out of concern for safety. I called security due to safety for the child. Although, my husband & I are very sensitive to this family & child's health concerns, this was disturbing because of the length of time it took for the screaming and banging to stop as well as the urgency of the child falling from balcony. In conclusion, this child was at the pool each day. We did not enjoy any time at the pool because the child's illness causes him to make the loud screaming noises constantly. Please consider, we know his condition cannot be helped; however, it did not make our vacation experience a 5 rating. Thank you for reaching out.
