Located in the interior of the island, forming part of the municipality of Teror, you will find the charming country house "La Peña". A cozy and quiet place with all the comforts, in the middle of nature, resting on the side of a deep ravine from which you can enjoy magnificent views that reach the sea.
The house consists of two floors and a large roof from where you can see the city of Las Palmas de G. C., Teror, El Palmar, La Peña, and the northeastern coast. It has a capacity for 4 adults, 2 children and a baby.
On the first floor there is a bathroom and the three rooms with electric radiators. In the main room there is air conditioning. All rooms have windows that face outside.
On the ground floor is the kitchen where you can find all kinds of basic electrical appliances (toaster, juicer, blender, water heater, chopper, oven, microwave, dishwasher), and the living room with wood burning fireplace and dehumidifier.
We put safety fences on the stairs of the house and at the kitchen door when children come.
The best thing about the house is that it is surrounded by 2000 square meters of garden land where you will find fruit trees and numerous native plants. A barbecue area for lunch or dinner in the countryside. For sunbathing: shower, sun beds, umbrellas. For children: a wooden cabin with different toys. You can also find a small cellar, a pond and a toilet.
The cave of the barbecue area, can be lit at night for dinner. There you can listen to music peacefully since it has a computer with speakers, to be able to enjoy your favorite music via Wi-Fi, or if you prefer you can also observe eaglets, different birds such as the petirojo, the canary, ... some owls , quail .... in the "silence" that nature offers.
It is the ideal place to rest for being in the middle of nature, and at the same time is five minutes by car from the beautiful town of Teror, near different beaches of the North, the city of Las Palmas and hiking areas such as the estate of Osorio .
A five minute drive to Palmar is the "Warehouses Baéz" with parking, where you can find everything from field products, garden plants, hardware, to all kinds of food (even prepared) and drinks.
Its central position makes it approximately one hour from the main tourist attractions of the island.
Although it is connected to a nearby bus stop (20 minutes on foot), it is recommended to use a car for greater comfort, or you can also call it more often.
It has exclusive parking at the door. a taxi to Teror and to leave you at the village stop, where the buses leave
The rooftop area has a washer, dryer and iron, and outdoor seating space.
We provide all bed linen and towels, umbrellas and beach towels, books, board games, table tennis.

What a wonderful place to stay! It’s a beautiful building with an amazing garden over several levels, and lots of different places you might want to relax in. (It even comes with its own little cave!) The views from the garden down to Las Palmas and the sea are amazing, and are even better from the roof terrace, which has a 360 view of that and the mountains in the other direction. Very pleasant inside too, with everything you could need, and we had a very hospitable and friendly welcome from the hosts. The location is excellent. You can reach any point on Gran Canaria as a day trip, and it’s particularly handy for the mountainous interior, which in my opinion is the most interesting and beautiful part of the island. Nearby Teror is arguably the prettiest town in GC, and has a lively market. We had an excellent stay here, and would heartily recommend it. TIP: On arrival, follow the hosts’ directions carefully and stay on the main road going up from Arucas via Visvique (GC-43). Don’t – as we did first time – let the satnav send you on “shortcuts” through lots of narrow village streets.

This is a very spacious and well-kept garden with lots of interesting plants. The outdoor kitchen is well equiped and has a breathtaking view over the valley. From the terrace outside of the kitchen you can view as far as Las Palmas and the sea.
The property is located on a ridge with very nice views in all directions.
La Peña is definitively located in the most beautiful part of Gran Canaria.
Pepa and José (the owners) are very friendly and responsive.

We had a wonderful time at Pepas and Joses garden and house in the mountains. We spent it as a family of two adults and two children (8 and 10 years).
The hosts are very friendly and helpful, providing tips what to see, regarding the weather, helpful insights, etc.
The house is lovely, cozy and especially well-suited for vacationing with children. The rooms had everything that one can imagine. There are even beach utensils (beach umbrellas and chairs) and the kitchen is also very well equipped. If it should get hot, there is the possibility to switch on air conditioning. Also, the house is built in a way to not heat up too much during the day, and there is often a cool ocan breeze in the mountains.
The garden is a spacious highlight, especially the cave and the collection of endemic plants. There is also a very cuddly and sweet cat, who likes to be around humans and followed us everywhere I went. The children were in charge of feeding him and are now missing him a lot.
We were at a time were we could also enjoy some garden fruits, such as lemons, a few grapes, tomatos, aubergines, onions and cucumbers...
For those who need it, there is wifi, both in the cave and the house.
From the garden and roof, there is a beautiful view.
We can highly recommend the stay!
During the time of our stay, there are a few dogs in the neighborhood, who were howling at night. Sometimes the cat joined in, as if to say: "Shut up!". We all slept well, nevertheless and were rather entertained.
