This first-floor unit is located in the desirable community of Chateau La Mer, merely steps away from the main attraction and reason that millions of visitors continue to return, year after year–the sugar white sands and clear blue-green waters of Destin's spectacular beach. Check-in to this comfortable, spacious condo, drop off your luggage and stroll across the street to dip your toe in the surf and meander along the sand. Grab a seat on the beachfront patio of Captain Dave's on the Gulf and enjoy some of the best views in Destin, while sipping a cold beverage and nibbling on oysters, shrimp or crab. Can you feel the tension just floating away with the sea breezes? This is why you came!
Sleep soundly in the comfortable king bed in the master bedroom or a queen bed in the second bedroom. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the open-concept living area that will accommodate additional guests or children. And the unit features for your relaxing pleasure. The well-equipped kitchen includes a breakfast bar and stacked washer and dryer–no need to do vacation laundry when you arrive back home!
And don't leave Fido behind! The Chateau La Mer community is perfect for pets. There are large grassy areas and sidewalks for strolling along beside the breathtakingly beautiful beach. And the amenities don't stop there. Submerge yourself in the large pool that is heated in the winter, volley with friends and family on the well-kept tennis courts, and entertain with the use of the outdoor grills, clubhouse and more. The neighborhood has no through-traffic, which is greatly appreciated by families with kids and/or pets.
Everything you need is nearby and Destin offers so many different recreational activities, there is something for every member of the family. From arts and culture to eco-tourism, from fine dining to quick bites, from sports and adventure to shopping and spas; the Destin area has it all. Rent a boat or paddleboard. Play golf or stumble upon a treasure on the beach or at one of the many shopping areas. Go deep-sea fishing or explore the famed, expansive Choctawhatchee Bay in what is known as the "world's luckiest fishing village." Destin-dining is also world-famous among foodies and regular folks alike. You can skydive, sail, cruise, dolphin watch, and explore the many opportunities that await you on the emerald shores of this stretch of the incredibly scenic panhandle of Florida. Kitchen was stocked too much. Not any cabinet space for the food we brought. Also needed another dishwasher pod. They only supplied one.

It was a great place to stay. Clean and affordable. It was pet friendly and my babies loved it!! I would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay. The condos are a short walk to the beach. We had beach service included which made the stay even better. The condo was very well appointed and clean. The place is truly a hidden gem.

We booked this very last minute and the property was just as described except no beach view. Not a deal breaker. Unit is older than others we have stayed in - but was very clean and had everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable. I should have read some of the notes closer - we did have to buy trash bags, laundry soap and dishwasher detergent - not a big deal but would have packed it if I read closer. If you plan on cooking or enjoying morning coffee - pack salt and pepper and coffee filters too. . Only minor complaint would be that the broom and dustpan need replaced and the back sliding door and patio could use some love. Location is fantastic - we head to Destin/Miramar for the beach so walking just a few steps and having a beach with chair set up was perfect. Our kids enjoyed the pool and that it was heated for our late March stay. Having washer and dryer in unit was great as well. Bonus was being able to bring our pup too. Overall would recommend - booking and communication was great! Walking distance to everything and we rented bicycles and they were delivered to this location no problem. Will share with other friends traveling to the area. Missing the emerald coast already!
