The fully equipped kitchen offers granite countertops, steel appliances, and a convenient center island with breakfast bar seating. • Beautiful views often take extra work to get to! The driveway at Magnolia Mountain is a narrow, steep decline from the road. We strongly recommend that guests park at the top and walk down to the house. Thankfully it's a short walk! Guests are fully responsible for any damages to the property or to their own vehicles resulting from the use of the driveway.
•Nonworking Wood Stove/Fireplace: Please note that the wood stove/fireplace at this property is not currently operational. Please do not attempt to use it during your stay.
• Travel Insurance Highly Recommended
We strongly recommend CSA Travel Insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected events such as inclement weather, medical emergencies, or travel delays.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin and the area it is situated in is absolutely beautiful. Awesome views of the mountains, the cabin was very comfortable and warming, and easy access to Ashville, We enjoyed hanging out most in the sun room in the mornings and late evenings…lots of special family time just sitting, relaxing, visiting, having coffee and cocktails while enjoying incredible views of the mountains. Definitely need to pay serious attention to the information on the listing concerning the driveway to and out of the property in addition to reviews written about it. The driveway is NOT multiple car friendly AT ALL… types of vehicles (we traveled in a mini van), trying to park vehicles for easy access out back to the main road, unevenness of pavement resulting in vehicles dragging, bottoming out, tires spinning, etc. In addition the driveway is NOT easy on guests being in their late 80s and not being stable on their feet. It was very hard for them to maneuver in and out of the entrances into and out of the cabin to the parked vehicles due to the steep and uneven pavement/driveway. The driveway ended up being a daily nightmare and very stressful on the vehicle drivers. I don’t mean to be negative concerning our stay because the driveway situation is described accurately in the listing as well as in the previous reviews. Overall, our stay was awesome.

If you are going for the views, this is the right spot. Absolutely beautiful! House has great space, beautiful sun room and wonderful decks. It’s a quick drive into Asheville and all that the area has to offer.

I was quite taken aback by the lack of cleanliness in various areas of the property. The first and most egregious instance was the shower in the basement level. It had hair on the floor and walls (including pubic). I had to clean it myself before anyone would use it. The floors on the basement level were not very clean, especially in the guest bedroom with the two beds. Dirty shoe prints were all over the floor. The smell as soon as you walked downstairs was quite putrid. It smelled of mold, mildew, and of the garage (which the one particular bedroom had been converted from). My young children refused to go down there because of the smell. My wife and I slept down there as my in-laws are older so we had them stay upstairs. We stayed in the bedroom that was previously a garage. The smell was terrible and the bed was extremely loud. So much so that we laughed out of disbelief when getting in and out of it. The windows on the back of the house on the first level were very dirty. Not only does that seem bizarre that they would be so dirty, but counterintuitive to the fact that this property boasts about its views. Hard to truly enjoy the view through windows that hardly or don’t seem to be cleaned. The deck should have also been swept off. I understand the property is in the woods, but still. The view from this property is fantastic, but it’s hard to fathom recommending this property to anyone.
