This 130-year-old house sits on a quiet, oak-lined street in the historic St. Roch neighborhood. It’s an easy walk to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter, and surrounded by the local color of the Marigny and Bywater. Whether you're here for music, food, or architecture, this location makes it easy to explore—and easy to come home and rest.
The house itself is a lovingly maintained two-bedroom with high ceilings, French doors, and a few quirks to remind you you're in a place with history. It’s not a hotel—thankfully—but it is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for short- or long-term stays.
What You’ll Find Inside:
Two bedrooms in shotgun layout with real mattresses, soft linens, and plenty of blankets for a solid night’s sleep.
A full kitchen with gas stove, coffee setup, and plenty of cookware if you’re staying in.
A washer and dryer tucked off the bathroom—especially helpful for longer stays.
A bathroom with good water pressure, tankless hot water, and large walk in shower.
A cozy living room with comfy seating, fast Wi-Fi, and a smart TV.
Thoughtful touches throughout—from books and art to extra towels and kitchen basics.
Step Outside:
The courtyard is yours to enjoy during your stay. It’s a private space with brick underfoot, tropical plantings, and lights overhead—perfect for morning coffee, reading in the afternoon, or an evening cocktail. There's a grill available if you'd like to cook outside. Just ask if you’d like it set up with fuel.
The Neighborhood:
St. Roch is a residential area with deep history and a strong sense of place. You’ll see families, elders, artists, tradespeople, and musicians coming and going—folks who’ve lived here a long time, and others who’ve just arrived and fallen in love. The house is just a few blocks from the St. Roch Market (a great place for a quick bite or cocktail), and you're close to some of the best dining and nightlife in the city without being right in the thick of it.
You can walk to Frenchmen Street in about 15 minutes, and from there it’s just another 15 to Jackson Square. Rideshares are quick and affordable if you're venturing farther afield.

This is a home with personality. It's not sterile or overly curated. Thoroughly clean, comfortable, and well stocked, it’s a little worn in, a little magical, and very representative of life here in NOLA.

Such a cute and posh place! The house was super clean, rustic, and modern I loved the coziness of the place. I loved how the doors were slightly gothic. There was nothing cookie cutter about this place, completely unique! We had everything we needed, but bring your own coffee. I could have slept in the beds forever. The backyard was whimsical and included a cute orange cat that lived nearby. I must say, you will want to drive to the French Quarter (maybe 10 minutes tops). BUT you need to walk to St Roch Market! Great food hall and go hungry. I say book this place 100%! I have high anxiety and this place made me so comfortable and like I was at home. I will book again! I can’t wait!

Our stay here was excellent! The location is very convenient. Everything was as expected from the pictures and description. I'd definitely recommend it. Jared's a great host!

I was in New Orleans for Kolaj Fest, held down the street at the New Orleans Healing Center. This two bedroom with 3 beds was absolutely perfect for myself and 2 friends. We enjoyed the experience of a New Orleans "shotgun" house and appreciated the charm, high ceilings, and eclectic artwork throughout. Having a parking spot is a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Because we were there in June-it's HOT, but the central AC and the additional bedroom unit kept us perfectly comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and artistic with many restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. The St. Roch Market is 2 blocks and has multiple local eats inside. We didn't try walking to the French Quarter because of the heat, but would be no problem other times of the year. The host Jared was always available to answer our questions. I would recommend this rental and would definitely plan to return next year.
