Poplar Creek Retreat is a beautiful, secluded cabin located midway up the Gunflint Trail in Grand Marais, Minnesota. All the modern conveniences with the ambiance of a North Woods cabin, to include frequent visits by moose! The dock is just 60 rods down a private portage to Little Ollie/Poplar Lake with easy access to the BWCA. In the winter, have the luxury of walking right out the door to the start of the renowned Banadad Ski Trail! Few places offer such privacy!

Excellent accommodations in a beautiful location! Host was responsive and helpful. Would definitely go back again!

Sweet cabin in the woods with a pretty stream 50 feet away. Kitchen was fully supplied with all necessary pots pans and cutlery. Saw several moose ( 4 bulls) within a couple miles of the cabin. Also saw a mama bear and her cub as well as what appeared to be an albino fox.

Great cabin with all the wildlife you could wish for! Host was very communicative and easy to work with.
