This is a studio apartment located below our house. It has its own outdoor courtyard and separate entrance and you will have exclusive access to the entire apartment for the time of your stay. The apartment is located in the suburb of Waipahihi, and is only a short stroll to the Waipahihi Botanical gardens, a 10 minute walk to the lake edge and a similar distance to the popular Debretts Hot Pools. It is only a 5 minute drive to town. There is also a playground only 100 meters from our driveway.
The apartment has a King bed in the main sleeping area, but also has two full size sofa beds (Queen and small double) in the lounge with an additional small sofa bed suitable for a small child. There is a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, jug, toaster and electric fry pan. The lounge boasts not only a TV but a large projector (screen size 2.9m wide & 1.65m high) to keep everyone entertained even when its raining outside. Free WIFI is also provided.
Guest access is to the downstairs Studio and use of the large screen projector TV.
Some cupboards are locked with owners belongings stored, There is still a wardrobe for guest clothes hanging etc.
Parking is in front of the garage.
Sorry the garage is not available for use.
If we are not at the property to meet you when you arrive your key will be located in a lock box outside the door and if you require any assistance through out your stay we are located in the dwelling above. We will also provide you with both of our cellphone numbers so you can contact us anytime during your stay

This was a good base for a short stay in Taupo. The apartment and furnishings were clean and in good working order. The apartment is on the ground floor, accessed through a sliding patio door around the side of the house. It has a relatively private garden area of its own. The interior layout is unusual, with oddly shaped but functional rooms and a huge projection screen taking up an entire wall of the living/dining area. It has the feel of a downstairs recreation area that has been converted a bit awkwardly into an apartment. This was not a problem for us, just something worth knowing. The property is located in a very suburban area far from shops and amenities, a 10 minute drive from downtown Taupo. The check in process was clear and smooth, and the property managers were very communicative. Recommended.

Apartment only has two rooms (plus the bathroom), so note the bedroom is also the kitchen. The pull out coach bed is okay, but the bar on the middle is unavoidable

Traversing the north island, we stayed in Taupo two nights. The studio was easy to find and in a nice location. Check in was smooth. The place was clean, comfortable and met our needs. Thank you!
