Summary:
Waterfront home with AC, boat lift, dock | Dog Friendly
The Space:
This 3-bedroom waterfront home sleeps up to 8 people, and is situated on a large parcel with a nice grassy lawn that runs all the way to the water's edge - ideal for running around and playing yard games, and allows very easy access so everyone can enjoy the lake and dock. At the shoreline, you'll find the shared dock, a boat lift (strict 4,000lb weight capacity), and a sandy beach area for the whole family to enjoy. This is a dog friendly home (up to 2 dogs allowed, for an additional $125 fee).
Home features central air conditioning for those hot summer days, and a gas fireplace in the living room for cooler evenings and some added ambience. There are two bedrooms on the main floor with a shared full bathroom as well as a primary bedroom upstairs in the loft with multiple beds, a spacious closet, and a second bathroom.
The Kaniksu Shores neighborhood is 7 miles from downtown Sandpoint. Its location along the north shore provides incredible sunrises, sunlight and panoramic views of Lake Pend Oreille and Oden Bay. Make use of the private boat launch just a few doors down, which is only available to those living or staying in the neighborhood. Schweitzer Mountain is just 35 minutes away - so keep this home in mind anytime of the year!
The left side of the boat dock is for our guest and the right side is not for guest use.
No weddings, events, receptions or parties are allowed.
**NOTE: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

Besides the AC shutting off and the upstairs bedroom getting way too hot this place was perfect. Location, swim beach, wrap around porch, lots of extras like bikes and basketball. Kitchen well stocked with SPICES!! We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would book again, but I would pick a downstairs bedroom. Great response and communication from host as well.
