This downtown Victorian—which once housed a clock repair shop—might be the perfect vacation destination. From here you can stroll to shops and restaurants… or head to the beach, just a few blocks away. On the first floor you’ll find the living room (with a large TV and an electric fireplace), dining room (seating for 8), modern kitchen (with barbecue out the back door), laundry, a guestroom with a Queen bed, and a full bath with a tub/shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two Kings and two Twins) and a second full bath with a shower. This historic home is completely renovated and newly-furnished... the crystal chandeliers, stained glass, vintage-inspired art, and grandfather clock are a nod to a time gone by. Take in a movie at the local cinema, browse the bookstore, or walk to the ice cream shop for an after-dinner treat. From the annual Butterfly Parade to the apple trees around Caledonia Park, there’s a reason Pacific Grove is called “America’s last hometown.” Pacific Grove Transient Use License #482asdf

The location of this property is amazing for exploring Pacific Grove and the beach. The house furnishings could be improved to make it cozier. Overall a good weekend stay for us (2 families with kids), and we would stay again.

We loved the location and house configuration with its 4 Bedrooms, dining room & living room, and the contemporary kitchen. Some of the building components were vintage, most noticably the sash windows with a poor sash fastener at the entrance window (a temp. repair was made on request) and many unreliable sash counterweights (to stay open), and most particularly lack of screens on the upper floor windows - aka child proofing; similarly the living room furniture was old & mismatched - sinking couch and small arm chairs and stained carpet in the twin bed bedroom. If there is a next time we will bring a mop to clean the living room & kitchen floors which were dirty (despite calls & acknowledgement of management), furry bathroom towels, scissors in the kitchen, plastic kitchen containers and a tea pot.

Our stay in Pacific Grove was wonderful. The town is very cute. Lots to do very nice people. We enjoyed the beach area. Great little coffee shop.The house was in the perfect location. It had a lot of character very nicely, decorated. Well stocked with everything.We would definitely come back again. Shane was great. He helped us with our questions. We will miss 5 o’clock somewhere.

The house was clean and reasonable comfortable, but not what we would call cosy. All appliances were new, but furniture was a bit spartan and the layout of the house was not great - no views and blinds needed to be closed for privacy. Street noise and light could be an issue for some. Disappointing that there was no garden.
