In Denmark's border area there are many possibilities and some of Denmark's most interesting cities are not far away. Don't miss Aabenraa, which is particularly pretty and centrally located, surrounded by hilly woodlands and with a charming panoramic view over the fjord of Aabenraa. You should also visit Graasten and Gråsten Slot, where the Danish royal family meets every year. If you would rather enjoy the good weather and doze on the beach, you will find the most magnificent swimming beach at Vemmingbund, from where you can also take refreshing walks. The washing machine can not be used in the winter.
