You can relax and enjoy the local hospitality without worrying about your car. Walk home to a roaring fire under the dark skies. (The National Park is now one of 18 International Dark Sky Reserves)

In addition, Grassington has a small well stocked convenience store, a bakers shop and a deli. A larger supermarket, butchers shop and fuel are available in nearby Threshfield, only 5 minutes away by car.
Grassington also has a range of interesting local craft, gift and outdoor country clothing shops amongst others and a very informative museum.

The village has a wealth of walking experiences for all abilities from strolls by the river to more challenging hill walks. It is a popular cycling destination with cycle hire and bike servicing available locally. The Yorkshire Dales National Park Information Centre, located in the village can advise on a wide range of activities locally and further afield around Yorkshire.
