Thoughtful and updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home ideally nestled in a serene cul-de-sac in the Alabama Hills. Just 6 miles from the town of Lone Pine, 12 miles from Whitney Portal, a short drive to Horseshoe Meadows, Diaz Lake, the Inyo National Forest and surrounding wilderness areas!
Come and cook in our bright, spacious kitchen, play some ping pong in the game room, or relax on the large porch after a day outdoors and marvel at the stellar views!!
The space
Transport your mind, body and spirit to our secluded, yet ideally located, spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath getaway in charming Lone Pine! The house rests among stunning views of the surrounding and infamous Alabama Hills, Eastern Sierras, Mount Whitney and Inyo Mountains. Perhaps you'd like to prepare a big, leisurely breakfast with your friends and family in our bright, sprawling and fully-stocked kitchen with stools and large island, or sip your coffee on the covered deck while gazing at the sunrise from behind the Inyo Mountains in the distance and plan your adventures for the day. The living room features an inviting, wrap around couch, large recessed skylight, 55" flat screen tv, bluetooth sound bar. Perhaps one of the most exciting features - our game room offers a great space to entertain with a brand new ping pong table, board games and a picnic-style table to set up with snacks to fuel your fun and keep the competitions going ;)
The beautiful and spacious master bedroom has a queen bed with a very comfortable Tuft & Needle Adaptive® foam mattress, and features an attached sitting/reading room with sleeper sofa, coffee table, and separate access to the back patio. The master bath boasts sprawling mirrors, two sinks, a separate shower, large tub, and enclosed toilet.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Both of these rooms share a full bathroom with tub/shower and two sinks. There is also an attached potty seat for smaller children, which can be lifted for adults.
Tap into your adventurous spirit and choose from countless wilderness excursions within just minutes of our home - whether it's exploring the uniquely breathtaking Alabama Hills, hiking in the Sierra high country to swim in pristine alpine lakes, summiting Mount Whitney, or simply setting off on dozens of nearby hiking/walking trails - the choice is yours!
Enjoy the stunning view of our property from our covered deck that comes installed with a grill, outdoor dining table and even a refreshing mist sprayer extending all the way around the deck to cool you off after a day in the sun! Guests are able to use the washer and dryer in the laundry room as well.
We provide you with all linens, towels, and many bathroom amenities you may need during your stay, and if there is something else you need, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate you!

BTW, The property and nearby areas are also home to many native plants, wild animals, snakes, rodents and arachnida. Please enjoy viewing, but avoid disturbing the fragile plants and wildlife that live there. Please enjoy and explore with care.
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. We also provide hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial sprays and disinfecting wipes for your peace of mind.
Guest access
Our guests will have access to the entire house. We offer plenty of parking in our private driveway which wraps around the house, offering easy entry into our single-level home.
PLEASE NO street parking per county code.

PETS:
Please inquire about dog friendly policy. Max of 2 house trained, hypo-allergenic and under 40 lbs are allowed. There is a 100.00 pet deposit and a 25.00/night pet fee per dog. May be negotiable for longer stays. Non-hypoallergenic dogs may be allowed with 150.00 cleaning fee.

This property is clean, very well equipped to accomodate a group of 6-8 people, to prepare meals and rest after hikes. Perfect location for Mt. Whitney hike.

We absolutely love this house! This is the fourth time I have stayed here (2022 (as a guest), 2024, 2025, and 2026) and we really look forward to it each year. The area is beautiful with sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada, Inyo Mountains, and Alabama Hills rock formations with lots of fun wildlife (bunnies, quail, lizards). We gladly trade being a little further from town (10 minutes) to be out in Alabama Hills. We also love the drive to the house either down Lubken Canyon (think Sound of Music views) or Tuttle Creek (a scenic drive through Alabama Hills). The house is on a nice quiet cul-de-sac and the area is great for walks. The house itself is always very clean and the bedrooms are great. The pictures are accurate and represent the house well. The primary bedroom is very large, with a nice sitting room that has views of the Inyo Mountains. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen basics (pots, pans, knives). The hosts are very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. We highly recommend this house for your visit to Lone Pine.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Host was available as needed. We loved the big kitchen, windows out onto to mountains and comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, easy drive to town and sightseeing. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were not working correctly and the house could use a good, deep clean but otherwise met all our needs and then some. Would stay again
