For outdoor enthusiasts, Black Mountain is only 10 minutes from the town of Montreat where you can find endless hiking trails that wind through lush rhododendron, along babbling creeks, and lead to cliff faces overlooking the valley and towns below. For bike enthusiasts, Kitsuma, an adventurous 4.5-mile point-to-point trail, or the new Gateway trails in nearby Old Fort, are local favorites and some of the best that the Pisgah National Forest has to offer. Dupont State Park and the Pisgah trails of Brevard are less than an hour's drive. Three thoughtfully appointed bedrooms provide space for everyone to unwind comfortably; a bedroom with two twin-size beds, a bedroom with a queen-size bed and dedicated workspace, and a primary bedroom with a modern and elegant en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. A second full bathroom can be accessed from the hallway, as well as a separate powder room with a laundry area. The covered front porch calls for enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning as the day begins or recapping everyone's favorite adventure.

Asheville, which is only 20 minutes away, offers a number of art galleries, restaurants, museums, upscale boutiques, novelty shops, and award-winning breweries guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours on end. The Biltmore Estate is a 15-minute drive. Other attractions in the area include Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and Mount Mitchell.
