The region offers excellent access to activities such as horseback riding, biking, hiking, rock climbing, via ferrata (Buis-les-Baronnies), and canoeing and kayaking (in the Ardèche Gorges). It is also a renowned wine-growing region, home to villages such as Rasteau, Gigondas, Cairanne, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Less than an hour from Avignon, the region is full of charming, well-preserved villages.
