This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom and 1726 sq ft hidden treasure is nestled under the high tree canopies and sits directly on the edge of the meandering crystal clear spring waters of the Weeki Wachee river.
The home has recently been beautifully remodeled and decorated. The living and dining space flow through double french doors into the enclosed and finished Florida room. The panoramic views through the floor to ceiling windows beg you to step outside to enjoy the breath taking views first hand of the winding river. The large wooden deck sits over the rivers edge allowing you to sit peacefully and enjoy natures wonder. Sturdy stairs just off of the deck allow you direct access down into the cool blue waters so you can enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and more right from your back yard. There are 4 - single person kayaks for you to enjoy.
Each bedroom is nicely sized and the house sleeps up to 10 comfortably. The eat-in kitchen with vintage refrigerator has plenty of room and is fully equipped for any cook to prepare their fresh catch of the day. The cool blues on the walls complemented by the warm earth tones mimic the natural surroundings and have you feeling serenity and complete relaxation whether you are inside or out.

We enjoyed another amazing week at this 3/3 home on the Weeki Wachee River. Amy is always so responsive and provides such a clean, comfortable, and fun place for our family to stay. This year our granddaughter and her friend had a blast jumping off the dock, swimming and watching the manatees, and kayaking right from the house. We made memories here that we will cherish forever and loved grilling out by the river in the evenings. We are so grateful for this special place and can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful location! We needed more kayaks because we had 8 people so we wound up renting some and taking them to the boat ramp at Weeki wachee park and it was an amazing paddle! We paddled right back to the house so it was downstream the whole way. Our kids enjoyed the rope swing! It was a big hit! We also saw deer, turkeys, and owl, a tortoise, and a manatee. The house was perfect for us.

Our stay was perfect. Plenty of kitchen supplies, lots of outdoor seating and you can't beat the view. We saw manatees, otters and soft shell turtles in the water and deer, turkeys and a nightly visit from an owl. The only problem we came across was the coffee pot is slow to brew and we only had 3 coffee cups for 8 people. Easy fix though, one couple brought more cups and a coffee maker with them.

I come to this part of Weeki Wachee at least once a year. I've stayed at the other houses here, and they all got 5 stars.
Sorry but can't give 5 stars. I'm just glad my family and the kids didn't come, only a couple of friends joined. Or it would've been a stressor and a let down.
VRBO doesn't tell you in big bold print what is not provided.
I DID read that we have to bring our own "paper products" such as toilet paper. So I did bring some but we didn't need extra.
There was no laundry detergent... for a 5 day minimum stay at a river where clothes get dirty n wet. Come on.
We had to get dishwasher detergent + sponge, Because only two dishwasher pods were provided... one was hidden under some towels. I re-washed their plastic plates with one of these pods in the dishwasher on the last day.
We even had to get our own body wash / bath soap. Most places provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner. Just get some cheap ones. Just give people a vacation rather than have the woman pack n worry.
Basically - Nothing is provided.
For only $20 there could be: (1) laundry detergent, (2) bath soaps, (3) dishwasher detergent + sponge.
It is not easy to get in and out because of the broken road.
The deer and turkeys were cute. The mosquitoes were poisonous, and probably carry deer tick = Lyme disease.
