Villa Gaia is a bright and sunny two-story villa located on the slope of a hill, facing the sea. It sleeps 18 people. From Villa Gaia you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea and of Santa Maria di Castellabate and of the gulf of Salerno far in the horizon. Villa Gaia is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a panoramic private terrace, a private patio, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from the historical center of Castellabate, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the closest beach (Pozzillo Beach) at 2.5 km (roughly 1.5 miles). You will reach Villa Gaia from the parking area along a route that cuts through the patio.
To stay at Villa Gaia you will need a car. You will be able to park it free of charge on the premises.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 11.5 meters (37 feet) long, from 1.20 meter (4 feet) to 1.50 meters (5 feet) deep. The swimming pool has a sinuous shape. It is an infinity pool. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea. The pool is open all year round, although it is not heated.
Patio
The patio is 160 square meters (1720 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a porch. It is equipped with a small sofa, two armchairs and benches and with tables, chairs and sun loungers. Here you will also find a portable barbecue. From the patio you will enjoy a spellbinding view of the sea and of the swimming pool.
Garden
The garden is 700 square meters (7500 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by olive and lemon trees. It is equipped with deck chairs. From the garden you will enjoy a lovely view of the swimming pool and of the sea.

The parking space is suitable for six cars.

The living room is paved with lucid green tiles. The furnishings are modern and welcoming. The furnishings include three sofas and an armchair. The dining table can accommodate 12 guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the patio through two French doors. You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room through an arched opening. It is equipped with a four-burner induction cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!) and a kettle. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the kitchen two French doors will take you to the patio. The kitchen is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Wonderful house with incredible views. We were 18 people, 9 couples, during the first week of June. Each couple had a room with an en-suite bathroom. There is a very nice terrace with a spectacular view of the sea, and another covered terrace by the pool. The pool is lovely.
The house is even better than in the advertising photos. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners on that terrace are truly sensational. Perhaps the kitchen is a bit small for 18 people, but it is well-equipped with materials and services for such a large group.
In summary, the house is spectacular, and the photos do not fully reflect its quality.
Of course, a car is necessary to reach the house and to get around. There is space for four or five cars at the house without any issues. And be cautious of the traffic and driving style of some southern Italians, Uff.
Nothing more to say; we really enjoyed our stay at Villa Gaia. A perfect house for a large group. Highly, highly recommended.

We were 11 women, traveling in Italy for a 60th birthday celebration and Villa Gaia exceeded our expectations!
The rooms were well apportioned, each with an ensuite bathroom and terrace access.
The housekeeper was lovely and helped us with any need that arose. Our "American" coffee maker was not working and she went above and beyond to remedy the problem.
We added the chef service for two nights and these meals were the highlight of our trip. The sisters who cooked for us were pleasant, accommodating, and joined us in laughter despite the language barrier. One of the chefs is a baker and shared her secrets and recipes with a baker in our party.
The views were incredible, and we were so thankful to be looking at the Amalfi Coast rather than being in the hustle and bustle. We walked to Castellabate each day for exercise and lunch (about 4 miles round trip) needing to work off the wine, pasta, bread and cheese!
I will always book with Summer in Italy moving forward. They were responsive to every need!
