The Space:
It just doesn`t get any more convenient than this condo at Columbine. Situated at the top of the hill overlooking the ski resort with ski-in/ ski-out access you are in the midst of all the activity during the day and perched on top of the world with Incredible views at night. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, plus a loft unit has been remodeled and couldn`t be more comfortable. Upon entering the unit you can`t help but feel warm and comfortable with the easy layout accommodating up to 6 people.
When you first walk in your eyes will be drawn to the towering windows overlooking the resort. The open kitchen, dining and living room is perfect for enjoying the down valley views of the Elk Mountains. Off the living area is a large patio to enjoy a summer meal or try to pick out your friends as they ski to the base area.
On the same level is a king bed in the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a queen bed is in the 2nd bedroom, and another full bathroom is just off the kitchen. Up the easily navigated staircase is a set of twin beds in the loft are.
After a hard day on the slopes or a leisurely hike you can relax in the hot tub or grill out on one of the gas grills in the common area. Or better yet, sit on the patio furniture for 6 right off the living room on the outdoor covered deck. (The only one of it`s kind at the Columbine!) Sitting in the Oversized HOT TUB at night and overlooking the lights of the resort and town is one of the best ways to unwind and enjoy your Crested Butte vacation. With accommodations like this, you may never want to leave!
Mountain Access:
In the winter, walk down one flight of stairs, snap into your skis, and glide down to the Red Lady or Silver Queen lifts. It`s beginner to intermediate terrain from the condo to the base area so having the kids ski down to ski school is no problem. In the summer, you've got the exact same access to the best mountain biking and hiking trails of Mt. Crested Butte.
This property is also serviced by the new First Tracks free shuttle system. Click on the QR code in your welcome app and request a ride to the base area where you can ski or catch a shuttle down to town for shopping and dining. They come right to the property and it's Free!

Beautiful views and easy access to the slopes. Not for first timers. Must drive to eat anywhere. Road was in good shape. Condo was clean in bathrooms and kitchen but needs a good dusting. Would return.

The condo has a panoramic view of Crested Butte and the surrounding mountain range (except for Mt. Crested Butte itself). We ended up unloading our car at the far end of the upper lot by the garages. From there it was a straight shot to the condo with only a short set of stairs to access the condo. There were 4 of us and the condo was plenty big to accommodate us. A bonus was a large balcony overlooking the base of the ski area and surrounding valley. Access to the ski area base was an easy short walk down steep trail.
The daytime temps were only in the high 60s to low 70s. In spite of the mild weather the condo was uncomfortably warm for sleeping (we like a cool room). There is a fan in one bedroom that helps quite a bit. The windows do open. If there was more of a breeze that might have helped cool the unit off faster. By morning the temps in the condo were very comfortable.
We would definitely stay there again.

Great view and convenience to slopes. We've stayed in a couple different Columbine condo's. This one is more dated, but we would stay here again.

Beautiful Views - great location. However, the unit is "tired" and needs the following attention:
1. WIFI spotty and could not use laptop without constantly disconnecting. Frustrating.
2. Poor ventilation for breezes (Needs Screen/storm door on front door)
3. Garbage Disposal stopped up and not cleared for last 2 days
4. Property Issue - Hot tub not operational for 5 days of our stay!! Disappointing!!
