In addition, numerous sports and cultural events enrich the calendar: the top tips include the "Zeller Seezauber" (Zell lake magic), the "Wednesday Festivals" and the "Seefest" (Lake festival) in Zell am See.In winter, the three ski areas Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhöhe and Maiskogel provide multifaceted variety over 62 runs at a total length of 138 kilometres. Off the slopes, the winter in Zell am See-Kaprun shows off its gentle side when cross-country skiing, winter hiking or snowshoeing, tobogganing, ice skating or in a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh.
