Located along the Adriatic coast, near the mouth of the Aterno River, Pescara is one of the most famous cities in Abruzzo. It is rich in must-see monuments, such as the Cathedral of San Cetteo, where you can see Guercino’s “St. Francis,” and the Romanesque Church of the Sacred Heart. At the heart of Pescara’s historic center is the lively Piazza della Rinascita, the hub of city life and its main events, and the best starting point for exploring Pescara and its major attractions. Finally, don’t miss a visit to Casa D’Annunzio, where the famous writer was born, and to the Ponte del Mare, one of the main landmarks symbolizing modern Pescara.
The accommodations are located in a very central area: right across from the central train station, and just a short walk from Piazza Salotto and the city’s pedestrian zone. The beach is a 10-minute walk (700 meters) away. All essential amenities are within easy reach: a café, supermarket, and pharmacy are all within 150 meters.
