Some places just feel right the moment you arrive. Acorn Cottage is a log cabin retreat for two — adults only, genuinely secluded, and designed from the ground up for the kind of trip where you actually disconnect. Private hot tub, fire pit, a wraparound porch with forest views, and a location that puts you within easy reach of everything Hocking Hills has to offer.

Step inside and you'll find a cozy, carefully appointed space that punches well above its size. The queen bedroom is dressed in soft linens and serene, nature-inspired decor — the kind of room that's easy to sleep in and hard to leave. The full bathroom is stocked with plush towels and modern fixtures. A fully equipped kitchen handles everything from quick breakfasts to candlelit dinners. The living area has a smart TV, books, and games for evenings in, and free WiFi keeps you connected if you need it.

Air conditioning and heating keep Acorn Cottage comfortable in every season — this is a year-round destination.

The outdoor space is where Acorn Cottage earns its reputation. Morning coffee on the porch as the forest wakes up. Afternoons at the fire pit. Evenings soaking in the private hot tub under the stars. The surrounding trees, wildlife, and natural quiet create an atmosphere that's genuinely restorative — the kind you feel in your shoulders by day two.

Adults Only · Dogs Welcome

Acorn Cottage is designed for adult guests seeking peace and privacy. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome — because the best getaways don't require leaving your dog behind. Weight limit applies; please see house rules.
