Anchor Cottage is a charming holiday home located in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Orford. Retaining many of its original period features throughout, the property is fantastic in both the summer and winter months making it perfect for a family holiday or perhaps two couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Well-equipped kitchen with oven, induction hob, kettle, toaster and microwave
Living room with wood burner, sofas, coffee table and smart TV
Dining room with wood burner, table and chairs for 6 people
Single bedroom with bedside table, desk and chair
FIRST FLOOR
Main bedroom with king-size bed and Hypnos mattress, ensuite WC, basin and heated towel rail, chest of drawers, bedside tables, hanging hooks and storage drawers under the bed
Second bedroom with zip and link bed with Hypnos mattress that can be made up as a twin or a super king, ensuite WC, basin and heated towel rail, bedside tables, wardrobe, storage drawers under the bed and a wardrobe
Family bathroom with shower bath, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC

Large back garden with patio and outdoor furniture

The accommodation was excellent. Very comfortable, although a little cold when we first arrived. It soon warmed up. We loved the fact a Christmas tree had been put up in the living room. Just one or two gripes.

Lovely quiet location. Plenty of space in the rooms. Ground floor bedroom compact. Great wood burners. Lovely large garden.

We had a wonderful time. The Cottage is lovely and quirky. So peaceful with a nice big garden. The Cottage had everything that we needed and even the weather was kind.
Orford is a perfect location. Relatively small but with everything you could need. The Pump Street Bakery is definately worth a visit. There is a chocolate shop if if have a sweet tooth, a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants and a well stocked general store. All are within a few minutes walk of the cottage.
Further afield the National Trust Orford Ness and Snape Maltings are worth a visit. If Orford wasnt 5 hours drive away, we would be regular visitors.
