With six bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, a living room and family room, you’ll find the right space to have the comforts of home while enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of a lake get-away. It is the perfect blend of family time located on a quiet canal with a DNR boat launch nearby. A neighborhood beach for swimming in the big lake is just down the road.
Our property has a sandy area for the kids to play but not an area for swimming. In the summer of 2025, the water in our canal dried up completely due to drought conditions. We are hoping for a snowy winter and rainy spring to bring back the water in front of our house. We provide kayaks that can be taken to the boat launch to drop in or for a river ride down the Muskegon River. There's a grill on the deck and nice play area for the kids. There's plenty of room for yard games like corn hole and ladder ball.
The house is just 3.8 miles away from the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is great for walking, biking and snowmobiling. Six golf courses are within 30 miles and Soaring Eagle Casino is about 30 minutes away. Additional fun can be had tubing or kayaking down the Muskegon River which is only about 15 minutes away. Tubes, rafts & additional kayaks are available through J&J's River Run in Evart.

Property is a little dated, but very clean! Family friendly for kids of all ages: play equipment and kayaks for the lake!

Our group of about 15 family and friends had a good time at the house. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Nice deck, fire pit and grill. However the canal the house is on was all dried up. The owner told me the water levels were too low for boating but i didn't expect there to be zero water in the canal. There was a beach a few houses down we could have carried the kayaks to but the weather was too chilly to be in or on the water. It would have a bit of a hike to carry the kayaks and gear that far anyway, especially with a couple of little kids. We all had a good together despite the chilly weather and lack of a water view

Plenty of space. Unfortunately the air wasn’t working on Sunday so we had to turn it off and wait for the compressor to thaw. It did work better for the next 11 hours. And one of the bedrooms, that had a portable unit did not work. Which ended up ok, because we ended up not using it. The water in the canal is pretty non existent, but the neighborhood beach was great!! Would we rent it again-definitely!
