"Casa Mar Y Cielo" an Mexican gem built in late 60s by Mexican renowned architect Anthony Santiivania. The golden years of Puerto Vallarta were the 70s and 80s when" Night of the Iquana "star Richard Burton and Elizebeth Taylor ruled the social scene and made the city famous.
It was the former home of empresario night club owner Pepe Capriccio who owned famed Capriccio's Disco in Puerto Vallarta
Pepe held lavish champagne parties for the Hollywood's Elite in the 1970s entertaining with only the best champagne and gourmet foods.
Film Producer Richard Martin purchased the villa in the late 70s when the villa was a favorite get-away spot for many of Richard's Hollywood Celebrity friends .
Among the many entertainment industry guests at “Casa Mar Y Cielo” were Peter O'toole, Richard Burton, Ava Gardner, Elizibeth Taylor, Lana Turner as well as teenage idols Troy Donahue and Edd (Kookie) Byrnes.
Producers Ray Stark, Paul Malansky, Directors John Huston, Paul Mazursky, Michael Anderson, Brian Hutton, were also among the many guests who enjoyed the villa when they visited Puerto Vallarta.

This villa is four floors of pure luxury, five bedrooms, six baths, pool, sundecks, and fireplaces.
Located in 'Celebrity Row,' just a five-minute walk to the center of town (beaches, restaurants, markets, boutiques, discos). The villa is central to everything!
This is one of the finest villas in the world, the rooms are filled with paintings, sculptures, and ancient Indian art. The villa's interior is decorated with lush tropical plants.
The views from the terraces on the third and forth floors are unsurpassed anywhere. The villa is completely staffed, and has a housekeeper and pool maintenance man and concierge who if needed, will arrange guest activities.

Very welcoming staff, daily maid service,availability of wonderful chefs Leo and Eduardo!The house is a Spanish Colonial gem, though a bit ramshackle, but we had 11 family, and they had a blast! We want to book for next year.

First of all the view could not have been better. the Staff were excellent but the repair of the Casa leaves a bit to be desired. There were too few lights in the Kitchen area and what there were not adequate. The pots and pans were plenty but there was not a knife that you could cut your finger on.the gas BBQ is just a shell of a bbq that you have to use charcoal in. We had one guest in the upstairs bedroom whos bed got rained on when it rained and had to move downstairs.its obvious the owner wants to sell and not fix anything on the property.i would not say i would not go back if a few things were repaired, after all we had an excellent experience with Leo the cook and the cleaning staff.
