Located overlooking Coral Bay, away from the congestion of Cruz Bay and the ferry, guests will enjoy the new “Hot Spot” on the island with its easily accessible beaches, friendly tiny town, and conveniences including restaurants. Very nice kitchen and bedrooms. The driveway was interesting, but the view was fabulous. You are not far from the grocery stores in Coral Bay. Hanson beach on the east end is not far, and Salt Pond just beyond Coral Bay is not far. The only draw back to the house were the goats and the bed mattresses which needed to be replaced. We had a great stay and Paul was a great host.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was so hard to leave. The pool was lovely and enjoyed by our 3 kids and the views were simply amazing - we saw so many rainbows! Everything was exactly as described and shown in the photos. One thing I never even considered when booking was a generator, and luckily this property had one because we experienced multiple power outages during the week, one lasting over 40 hours. However, we didn't even notice because the generator did such an amazing job. The breezes through the house are amazing and we hardly ran the air conditioners in the bedrooms. Paul was also very helpful with tips and tricks for the island. My family of 5 will definitely be back.

The view from this house as well as the pool are definitely the selling points.
This house has so much potential but in our opinion, needs to be updated.
The appliances, the mattresses, the bed linens, bath and kitchen linens, and the living room couch all need replacing. The couch cushion has collapsed from wear and cannot be sat on comfortably. The bed linens, including mattress pads are ill fitting, stained, and have some holes and tears. The house could use a deep cleaning (heavy mold in windows/screens, and floors need steam cleaning). We would have felt more comfortable if all the sliding glass doors locked. Although we were assured the house was very safe with no crime, we were uneasy leaving the house unlocked each day.
I will add that Paul, the property manager was very easy to communicate with. He lives in the bottom part of the house and we rarely saw him.
Final notes: this is our fifth house rental on St. John so we have others to compare this house to. We understand things are different and more laid back on the islands and we took that into consideration as we write our review.
Be sure to bring bug spray! The no-see-ums are relentless on the island and we were eaten up alive. If only we had been prepared (ugh)!
We found the workers on the island who grew up on St. John to be for the most part, unfriendly and somewhat rude. Those service workers who moved to the island from elsewhere were much friendlier.
