Vezere Valley is just a short walk away, so you can leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking, or jump in your vehicle to make the 9-minute drive to Lascaux IV - The International Centre for Cave Art.

After you return to this 958-sq-ft vacation home, you can unwind by the heated pool or sip a drink in the garden; you may also like the deck or patio and outdoor furniture. For a change of scenery, come inside and try your hand at table tennis, or enjoy the free WiFi, TV, and DVD player.

This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom rental features a dining area, a sofa bed, a BBQ grill, and a fireplace. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer and toilet paper. Prepare a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, complete with an oven, a stovetop, and a refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. And you won't have to pack extra clothes, because you'll have a washer and dryer, too.

The house is lovely situated within a hilly countryside near the vezere river. You are almost separated from the busy tourist streams you find somewhere further south in the Périgord.We really loved it therefor - and if you want - you can always get there. The house itself provides you with everything needed for an independent holiday, has a fully equipped kitchen, enough space and leaves nothing to be missed. We really loved the great, covered terasse, which is a nice feature, when it rains. A bit apart from the building is the large and heated (!) pool, which I found even big enough to perform some serious swim training. In terms of sport - the area is one of the best I ever experienced for race cycling. Hilly roads, you're almost alone, it was such a pleasure to ride there. We´d definitely would come back !

There is no question that this house is perfectly located and the owner is very pleasant and accommodating. The pool is wonderful, but the owner really needs to either replace or sand down the decking that surrounds it. There is a notice that tells you “not to run, due to splinters”, but my wife and I both got two splinters each, just walking. The bedrooms are nice, but the upstairs main room needs shutters to help keep it cool. The kitchen is adequate, but has no cupboard space to store dry groceries. There was only the three of us and we struggled, so not really sure how a family of 5 or 6 would cope. There was a small amount of information about the house / local supermarkets etc, but this could do with more detail. This is a nice house, but with a few improvements, it could be a great one!
