The Space:

Retiro del Sol is a modern and lively four-story home in the charming town of Dorado, boasting 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and an amazing rooftop terrace with a wet bar, and tropical views. You'll enjoy the vibrant, comfortable, and contemporary ambiance Retiro del Sol provides. The fully equipped kitchen, with ample counter space, overlooks the dining area, living room, and a large terrace offering views of the professionally landscaped grounds.



The villa comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests with 1 king bed, 3 queen beds, and 3 twin beds. Retiro del Sol is equipped with AC throughout, TV, internet, washer/dryer, beach chairs, and a cooler.



The community pool is just steps away for you to cool off after a long day at the beach. Make sure to bring your pickleball gear to enjoy a great match as the community features two courts steps from this villa.



IMPORTANT: The elevator on this property is not operational and is not advertised in the listing. By renting this unit, you acknowledge the elevator is unavailable.



IMPORTANT PROPERTY IMPROVEMENT NOTICE: The complex is currently undergoing exterior improvements, including pressure washing and painting. As of July 30, 2026, work is focused on Villas 23–26. Our villa is located between Villas 50 and 55 and is not currently scheduled for work. While the timeline remains subject to change, we estimate that improvements to our villa may begin around late September or early October. Please feel free to contact us for the latest updates. The work may take place Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and some noise should be expected during these hours. Thank you for your understanding.





LIVING AREAS



The villa features an open-concept layout connecting the kitchen to the dining area, living room, family room, and terrace. All living areas, with the exception of the rooftop terrace, are situated on the first floor, with plenty of windows providing constant views of palm trees, the meticulously maintained grounds, and endless sky. The family room has a flat-screen TV and A/C throughout. The lovely terrace offers an outdoor dining table to enjoy al fresco dining. A half bathroom is located on this level.





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



Each bedroom has its own private bathroom.



There are two (2) bedrooms on the 2nd level - each with a queen bed and a twin-size bed.



There are two (2) bedrooms on the 3rd level. The master suite includes a king bed, full bathroom, closet, TV, and A/C. The other bedroom includes a queen bed and a twin-size bed.



All bathrooms are stocked with complimentary organic amenities and plush resort-style towels. Every bedroom is equipped with AC, personal nightstands, black-out curtains, and a closet.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



Retiro del Sol features a clean, fully stocked, and cozy kitchen. With a counter space perfect for buffet-style meal service, the kitchen is adjacent to the 6-person dining table, making cooking and dining a social affair. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, and coffee maker.





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



The property includes space for up to four (4) vehicles.



Renting a car is a must when staying in Dorado. Uber is not realiable outside of the San Juan/Metro area.



You will need one to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches as well as to explore the rest of the island.





DORADO DEL MAR GOLF COURSE



Great news for golf enthusiasts - the Dorado del Mar Driving Range and Golf Course has recently reopened!



While we’re not affiliated with the course and can’t guarantee availability, guests staying at Retiro del Sol can easily enjoy a round during their visit. If you’re interested, just send us a message and we’ll share the link to check availability and book your tee time.





LOCATION



Retiro del Sol is located at Villas Del Golf within Dorado del Mar, a beautiful community in Dorado Puerto Rico that is well known for its gorgeous tropical grounds and beach access. Dorado del Mar is home to the Embassy Suites by Hilton. This is a safe and gated community that is great for families and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Retiro del Sol is a 45-minute drive from San Juan and the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.



Besides enjoying the beautiful villa and all amenities on offer, there are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:



Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Asian options.



Dorado del Mar has its own casino - The Blue Dolphin Casino! Retiro del Sol is ideal for those who want to enjoy the casino nightlife and then retreat to a comfortable space less than a 5 minute drive from the action.



Play a round of golf at the Dorado del Mar Golf Course.



Road trip to the Cerro Gordo or Dorado public beaches. Both of these are long sandy beaches that are well protected from swell and are a 5-minute drive from the villa.



Explore the Camuy Caves – a huge cave system about an hour's drive away that is home to the third-longest underwater river in the world.



Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 35-minute drive away and the oldest city in all of the US.
