Stayed at several villas in Monte Pego over the years.
Positive:
Nice views
Quiet neighborhood
Short walk to restaurant
Nice pool
Clean inside the house
Negative:
No escape routes from the basement/bed rooms if there is a fire upstairs. Only one escape route from upstairs, which is the entrance door. I Find it strange that this is legal. Made us very uncomfortable.
The outside tiles, tables, sun chairs etc were full of dust/dirt and we had to clean them upon arrival.
Very steep road up to the house. The clutch on our car was burning afterwards, even though we are experienced with offroad driving. Ended up parking in the public road instead.
