Located 5km from the sea (awarded for 12 years with the "BLUE FLAG") in the area of Magna Grecia, the Farm 'La Stornara' offers a pleasant stay in an ancient farmhouse in the middle of a typical orange groves and vineyards. the building was used in the late 40s by employees of tobacco as dwellings or drier the same leaves. These two requirements were magically resolved in a structure in tuff stones with very thick walls, within individual rooms a wide fireplace and very high barrel ceiling for drying the leaves of tobacco. In addition to citrus grove, we lovely care of a vineyard with very limited production. We produce I.G.T. wines Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Primitivo.

La Stornara is a beautifully appointed holiday apartment. It is isolated so a car is a must (there is plenty of parking though) but this adds to the tranquility and general escapism of the place. The apartment itself was very clean, with clean sheets and towels and it has beautifully kept grounds. The owners father met us and made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured that we were stocked up for breakfast. The apartments are an excellent jumping off point for exploring the local area which has much to offer, including many wonderful beaches, beautiful countryside towns and Matera itself, which is a must see. Overall I would absolutely recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

One of our nicest vacation in Italy. We felt welcome from the first minute and Mrs. and Mr. Rizzi is probably the nicest couple in Italy. Thank you for a great time!

"We enjoyed this place very much during your holidays. The landlord were friendly and gave us an excellent service.
Furthermore the appartment was as described in the webpage. The rooms were nicely renovated.
