The tale of the Trout cabin is located in Timber Ridge Estates and sits next to a big cabin on a hillside corner lot surrounded by native pines and hardwood trees that give it a secluded feeling. Located just minutes from Beavers Bend State state Park. This cozy studio cabin is equipped with a queen bed for two. A ready to cook kitchen for a simple dinner at home or take the night off and head up the road for dining/ drinks and live music. Enjoy the feeling of sitting high in the trees.The tale of the Trout cabin is just a mile to the entrance of Beavers Bend state park. There you can explore the Lower mountain fork, where there are beautiful trout caught year round. (You can hire a local fly fishing guide to show you the ropes) If fishing isn’t your thing why not take a dip in the pristine water of Broken bow lake? Or Kayak the rock gardens on the LMF. There are plenty of scenic hiking trails to fulfill your outdoor needs. The options are truly endless.
*Note* the cabin is connected by a deck which separates it from our bigger cabin. We have friendly dogs and cats that love to greet the guest.

Small circle drive, may not fit some boats and trailers. Cabin is tucked behind a bigger cabin. It’s hard to see from the road because of all the big beautiful trees. Entrance is at bottom of the hill on lamprey rd.

Absolutely the cutest tree house ever. We loved our stay here. It was centrally located for all of our events that we came into town for. We would definitely love to stay there again.

The “Tale of the Tout “ is a perfect little place to getaway for a couple nights. And as advertised it’s extremely close to the spillway and trout fishing.

We stayed at the property for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful, comfortable, and offered great value for the price.
Pros:
1) The cabin was clean and well-maintained, especially the bathroom, living room, and bedroom.
2) We loved the facilities and amenities provided.
3) The area was peaceful and relaxing, making it a great place to unwind.
4) Morgan was exceptional. She responded to our questions very quickly and helped us when the door accidentally got locked from the inside. She made sure we were okay and even called multiple times to check on us. We really appreciated her kindness, care, and excellent hospitality.
Cons:
1) A few of the dishes could be replaced, as they are showing signs of wear.
2) The balcony could use a better cleaning, as there was some dust in a few areas.
3) We noticed a few tiny insects near the kitchen. Adding a couple of bug traps might help address the issue.
Overall: We had a great experience, and despite the minor issues, the property offers excellent value for the price. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.
