Sunny, spacious 4-bedroom Cape with your own private fresh water beach. Jenkins Pond is one of the cleanest spring fed ponds on Cape Cod! Enjoy kayaking, swimming and fishing outside your back door. This gem of a house has a front-to-back family room with a 50" TV and puzzle/card table for lots of family fun. The first floor is full of sunshine with kitchen windows and a french door overlooking the pond. The multi level back deck is perfect for grilling or having your morning coffee.
You get the best of both worlds with ocean salt water beaches a few minutes away and the fresh water pond in your back yard. Take a left and you're in Mashpee Commons, take a right and you're in quaint downtown Falmouth Village. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket is a few minutes down the road. Your vacation can be a relaxing day at your back yard beach, or jam packed with visiting the Mashpee Children's Museum, Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institute or the Falmouth Bike Trail. Sunsets were particularly beautiful at this home. The kitchen was well appointed. We had some struggles with the TV, but eventually figured it out. The location was good for access to Falmouth. The slope was of the driveway was a bit tricky and perhaps our only complaint. All in all, a very nice experience. Thank You.

We rented this cape property for a long cousin girls weekend. The host was responsive. The house was everything and more. Lisa had the property well stocked with paper goods, linens, and thoughtful extras. We went kayaking on the lake, played cards, did some day excursions. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

The property was as described in the listing. It is in an ideal location - sandy lake beach, close to ocean beaches, restaurants, shopping and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. The owner was very responsive to questions. We would stay again.

Pros:Beautiful location with access to the lake (part of the property and 20 yards away). Excellent master with ensuite with views over the lake. 2 other bedrooms upstairs, which we did not use, but were big enough to accommodate 2 per room. Downstairs - 1 further double bedroom, tv room/lounge, large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, utility room with shower and wc. Outside good sized decking area overlooking the lake.Great property 10 minutes north of Falmouth with easy access to shops, restaurants etc.Hosts were very helpful and communication was excellent.Cons:- ensuite upstairs had shower facility in bath with shower curtain - worked fine, but feels like it could be updated to a proper shower cubicle.- shower downstairs also had shower curtain rather than proper shower cubicle- upon arrival, we had to make our own bed - not a major deal, but I have never experienced this anywhere else in the worldSummary:If I was in this area again, I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful house in great setting, totally peaceful, which was just what we needed after a manic week in DC and NY.Thanks to Danny and Lisa.
