A beautiful getaway for our honeymoon! The hosts were communicative and helpful and the property was lovely. The hot tub was clean and well serviced and the propane fire was great. There were lots of extra pillows, blankets, and towels. The Metchosin farmer's market was a hit!

I loved this cabin in the woods near Metchosin. It was SO quiet, all I heard was the rustling wind through the trees and the birds. At first I had misgivings about it being about 1/2 hour from downtown Victoria, vs. being in the heart of the action. But then I talked to a new acquaintance who did rent a condo in a high-rise, and she commented about the sirens and revving engines and noise. I can get that in my hometown city, so I'm very glad I rented Jamie's place.It was spotless and very well equipped. Every night I soaked in the beautiful hot tub under the native Garry Oak, with a cooling breeze over the hot water. In the summer the sun comes out very early and sets late. I liked being able to open the curtains in the bedroom and feel almost like in a treehouse.Check out the fancy pigeons in the coop down the hill. The white one is a real character! There's a lovely wine barrel converted into a little pond with a fountain with goldfish. The deck is a very comfortable and blissful place for breakfast, with a London Fog tea latte from Broken Paddle Cafe, about five minutes away.The hosts were delightful to talk to and I enjoyed meeting them. There's so much to do in Victoria, that I feel even in a week-long stay, I have a lot more to see and do. I look forward to returning to this beautiful and friendly corner of Canada, my new favorite country.

Beautiful property! Well stocked home - everything you need for a vacation. Bed was very comfy. Hot tub at the end of each day was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
