This beautiful home offers plenty of open space and a well-equipped kitchen that you will have everything you need to cook your dinners. Enjoy your morning coffee on your balcony taking in the serenity. The first-floor bedroom has a king bed. Upstairs you’ll find the spacious king master bedroom with balcony access and en suite bath. There’s also a bunk room, with 1 twin-over-twin and 1 twin-over queen bunk, and en suite bath on this floor. Take a short stroll to the gated beach access, splash around in the community pool, or chill on the wraparound balcony! You’ll have everything you need and more at Miramar Manor!

Cottage Retreat is a gated community of just 24 Old-Florida-style cottages in the highly sought-after Miramar Beach area. The neighborhood has gated beach access just across Scenic Hwy 98. Amenities include a seasonally heated community pool, hot tub, fitness center, and grilling area! All the excitement of Destin is just minutes away: choice of water sports, golf, amusement parks, and outlet shopping. One glimpse of Destin beaches and you're hooked. It must be the wide, white beaches and the famous emerald waters. Not to mention the fabulous fishing, the world's most beautiful beaches, addictive seafood, and the full array of activities for kids of all ages and more fun to be found in Destin.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

No grill on site but there is one behind the pool area, kind of difficult to find.
Property was clean and beach access was very close. Just a short walk from the house.
I would recommend to change the shower heads, no water pressure. Other than that everything was fine.
I would definitely come back.

What I liked: the location, the size, the responsiveness of the property management, the front porch and balcony, the pool area. Things I didn't like: the rug, carpets, and furniture were all badly stained from dogs (and smelled--I used lots of spray to eliminate the smell), many of the towels were threadbare, the "smart"TV in the living room did not allow me to sign in to my DIRECTV account--I had to cast it from my phone to the tv in order to watch the hockey team we follow, and the TV was too small for the room, or at least from where it was located (which is on the other side of the room from any seating)--we moved the console and TV closer to the seating during our stay, the kitchen pots and pans are so beyond "used"--they should be thrown away, we had to buy a few things that I expected to be in the kitchen, such as a cookie sheet and a dishcloth. Finally, the "jetted" tub did not work. I will not be back for these reasons and also, unfortunately, the community--while very friendly, it was just a bit "too" retired for our stage in life.

We had a great time. Their was plenty of room. Everything we needed. Great location. The house was beautiful. Thank you so much for everything! We will definitely be back.
