This was our second time at the Birdhouse. We love being so close to town, and a short walk to the beach. The deck is a personal favorite , it is completely shaded and a great place to read a book! The beds are comfortable and the house is well stocked. Highly recommend !

Great stay! We were just 5 blocks from the beach. Conveniently located. Easy walk to Center Street. Highly recommend Catch 23 for seafood and Woodys for pizza. Beds were comfy and we had all that we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were super friendly.

My family loved the birdhouse, it was perfect for our family of four. The walk to the beach was around .2 miles. The walk to Center street was around four blocks. The steps on the outside of the house are not steep. It is true that the inside steps are steep, but we did not have any issues. The place was great.

The Birdhouse sits on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach and all of the fun places to visit on Folly Beach. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds chirping, you could hear the waves at night and the bed/linens were wonderful. It is a clean house and was comfortable enough, though lacking in some important amenities for the price. For instance, the incredible deck has four dining chairs and table but only one (old, dirty) chair for lounging. We moved a bed blanket outside to wrap up in in the evening and pillows to turn the dining chairs into ottomans. Any products in the home are there only because a former guest left them there - no body wash, a tiny bit of leftover shampoo, random bottles of sunscreen and aloe. They also did not provide any beach chairs or towels - I rented a chair and umbrella from Folly Beach Chair Company and they set up right next to the 4th St E public beach access point which was lovely...though I thought for the price of the home, I wouldn't have to also rent a chair! Lastly, the stairs to the second floor are steep and uneven - we were relieved not to have little ones with us or elderly parents. If you have the slightest of mobility issues, this is not the spot for you. Not sure we would rent this house again, but grateful for our time there!
