Step inside Saltaire to discover a spacious common area, featuring a pet-friendly living space, water view dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. The small laundry room, equipped with a stacked washer/dryer combo unit, is conveniently located near the living room.
The SW King Suite boasts a comfortable king bed, dedicated closet, dresser, and private bathroom with a shower tub combo. Accessible from this suite, a door leads to the laundry room for added convenience. The east side jack-and-jill suite features a king bed in the southern room with a dedicated closet, while the northern bunk room offers a full-over-full bunk bed and dedicated closets. The jack and jill bathroom features a shower stall.
Outside, the wrap-around porch offers a covered sitting area facing the sound side, where guests can relax and enjoy the tranquil views. An outdoor dining area overlooks the private beach, providing the perfect setting for alfresco meals. Additionally, the porch features a grill and a small sitting area facing the Gulf side.
Beneath the house, guests will discover a hidden gem—a small storage area perfect for beach accessories. But that's not all; a swing and hammock offer the ideal spot to unwind while enjoying breathtaking views of the private beach on the sound side.

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!
Please note the following house rules:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly with prior permission. Only dogs, must be approved by insurance policy—2-Pet Maximum Limit - $ 100 per dog per stay pet fee.

Let's just start with the good stuff. Location is great! Right in the middle of the island and house comes with private beach access, just a short walk from your back door. Communication was great with property manager and was quick to answer and questions/concerns. We almost did not book with this host due to previous reviews, but I am glad we choose to disregard and book our stay. Previous reviews mentioned a radiator in the sand at the beach, which there was. Not sure how this got there and why it is still there, but it does become slightly dangerous when tide is high, and the waves cover it completely. You sometime forgot it was there and had to watch not to trip or kicking it when in the water. The other reviews talked about how the house needed work, and it does. However all the necessities worked, and we were able to have a place to sleep,shower,eat and cool off after a day at the beach. Does the patio need redone, yes. Does the front door need replaced, yes. Does the shower have little to no pressure, yes. But these are all things that we knew wouldn't bother us too much. Especially with the location and cost of the rental. This was a dog friendly rental, and we did take our 7-yr old boxer with us, and she had a great time! FYI- Stairs are a little steep but she managed.

We thought the location was good and it os convenient to the gulf and bay access. It was big enough for our group of 7, we also had our dog with us who enjoyed playing on the bay side.
We did request a toaster and the grill to be cleaned during our stay. The toaster was brought to us on the same day requested but the grill no one ever came to clean it so we cleaned it ourselves since we needed to use it. The property could be cleaned better since when we went to use the coffee maker the inside of it was covered in mold. Be careful on the deck barefooted you might catch a splinter. Lastly, the Wi-Fi kept going in and out, not the hosts issue just an FYI.
Overall it was a good stay for our family and dog.

We arrived after dark and there were no outside lights on for us. Thank goodness we brought flashlights so we could enter the door code. The house needs a lot of maintenance . Floor is coming up in 1 bedroom. Deck and railings are missing boards. Dish washer is broken. Draft comes through both doors. Love the island , but didn’t love this house.
