This unique property is situated in an elegant garden setting in one of the finest, well established neighborhoods in Punta del Este. The private cottage shares the grounds with the historic main residence. The Cantegril Country Club, considered to be one of the best golf courses in Uruguay is less than a 10 minute walk form the property. The historic 5 star L’ Auberge Hotel is also just a short walk away, for cocktails or to try their famous afternoon tea and waffles. One can walk through tree lined, meandering roads enjoying the beautiful architecture of some of the finest homes in Punta del Este. Just five blocks away, you can find the pristine South Atlantic ocean, Playa Brava, to walk for miles, swim, surf or sunbathe. Horses are available for rent nearby to ride along the beach and elsewhere. A short 5 minute drive will take you to the finest gourmet restaurants and coffee shops as well as to Punta del Este town center where you’ll find the marina with it’s sea lions, fish markets, wonderful dining, shopping, casinos and famed night clubs.
The guest house is spacious, light filled and has a charming ambiance, along with the convenience of high speed, fiber optic WiFi throughout. It is perfect for a couple, but the sofa could accommodate a third person. There is a living area and dining area open to the patio that overlooks the pool and flowering landscape and an organic herb and vegetable garden. The bedroom has a large flat screen TV with Netflix that one can watch from the comfort of the king sized bed, fitted with luxury linens. Enjoy the “parilla” the Uruguyan wood fired grill BBQ. The kitchen is fully equipped, with cookware, dish ware, glassware, cutlery, coffee maker, blender and toaster. There is one full bath complete with toilrt, bidet and shower. There is a fan and an air conditioner for both cooling and heating. Fresh linens and towels, soap and paper products are provided. It also has its own washing machine/dryer as well, for your convenience.

I loved my stay at the beautiful, custom built guest house, with Karen and Kenny, fantastic and friendly hosts. Yet, my privacy was still respected. The style and decor is lovely and even more so than the photos.

We loved absolutely everything about this lovely place. The cottage is so charming, the setting is like a secret garden, and the location was perfect for us: secluded and private, but within walking distance of the beaches, which are spectacular. Karen and Ken are superb hosts, welcoming and informative, but not at all intrusive. The bed and pillows were just right for us, the kitchen had the necessary tools for making breakfast and simple meals. DeVoto’s grocery store just a few miles away provided all of the necessary ingredients. We absolutely hated to leave.

My wife and I were attracted to this property by its description and positive reviews. The hosts and property were exceptional. Out of a possible 10 we give it a 12! Our arrival time was delayed by a cancelled flight, and they went out of their way to meet us and help us get settled. The setting is lovely and spacious, and every amenity was available to us. The hosts also provided very helpful information about the area, but allowed us to enjoy privacy and independence during our 14-day stay. The location is convenient to the beach by walking, and to restaurants and shopping by car. In every way it exceeded our expectations. Recommend with no hesitation.
