The Space:
Best described as that traditional weatherboard Lorne beach-house on the corner, Lornes Sur La Mer epitomises the romance of a traditional beach shack with modern creature comforts and light, open-plan living, all within 100 meters of the heart of town. Ample sleeping space for 2 couples and 3 children, Sur La Mer has three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a tri-bunk. It has a well-equipped kitchen, dining room and main living area. Relax and enjoy the views across to the Erskine River escarpment from the front porch and catch ocean glimpses from the living area and outdoor BBQ and dining area. The property has had ongoing improvements with modern features such as polished wood floors, reverse cycle air conditioning and flat screen TV. All features aside, Lornes Sur La Mer is all about the location. Rarely do you find a place in Lorne that you can park and walk everywhere- the beach, the supermarket, restaurants and bars. If you want utmost flexibility, comfort and affordability, Sur La Mer is for you.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

The cottage is very charming which exceeded my expectations. It has some really beautiful heritage features. We had a great time. The location was fantastic. We wanted to be close to town as we had our 5 month old baby and our dog so it was important to be able to come and go easily. No regrets booking here. Our first holiday with our baby and the accomodation was close to perfect for it. The front 2 bedrooms are very close to each other which made things easy.
Some constructive feedback:
- recommend cleaning behind the bed in the second bedroom as there was a lot of thick dust there
- recommend upgrading the floor bathroom mats as they were old and thin and didnt absorb much
- the toilet brush needs replacing
- confirmed we were bringing our dog and on the fridge it says strictly no pets and it was confusing as to whether or not they wanted us to put bins out on the Saturday when we checked out based on the instructions provided

- great outdoor table with shade umbrella
- check in process was smooth and easy
- one of the cleanest places we have stayed that allows dogs
- low bath was great for baby bath time
- great location
- beds are comfy, clean and nicely presented

Great little property full of natural light and charm, particularly enjoyed the peaceful front porch. Only a short walk to the main beach, even our 4yr old could handle it. Plenty of free parking outside the property although in December this is limited to 2hrs, we managed to fit 2 cars on the drive no issue.

What a peaceful, relaxing stay in this cute cottage. Plenty of room and a cosy open fire. Awesome position and view from the lovely verandah. Will definitely stay again

Great beach cottage. Cozy for a mid week winter escape. Location was fantastic and you are within walking distance to everything. Would highly recommend.
