Falcon's Perch is a Nature Lover's Dream, resting on a beautiful meadow in the Coastal Hills above Blue Lake just east of Arcata with lovely Japanese Art pieces throughout the home, giving it both tranquility and privacy with an inviting wrap around deck. Soak up the sun in this south facing property! Enjoy the fresh Coastal Redwood air with the sounds and views of the the wildlife including the Falcons sitting in the Giant Redwoods and the herds of elk and deer wandering the land. The entire home and deck are all at the same level so it's nice and easy getting around with very few steps to have to go up or down. Nice open living room with dining area and beautiful views of the Redwoods, meadows & coastal hills, plenty of space in the kitchen and the three bedrooms are perfect for up to 6. The Master suite has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and the second bedroom also has a bath/shower combination.
Enjoy barbecuing out on the big grill and having fun meals on your wrap around deck. You are about a 12 minute drive to Blue Lake & the Mad River, and about 15 minutes to downtown Arcata and McKinleyville. We have wifi and satellite tv for your enjoyment.
Things to note:
-Part of the beauty of this property is the rural, wooded location!
-The family pet is welcome to join you here! (2 dog max, $18 per day, per dog)
-There will be a separate rental agreement sent to your email for signature before receiving your check in info.
**Please note, the yard is not fenced, the property is located in a rural, wild setting with deer, elk, raccoons, squirrels, skunks and the occasional bear. Please be responsible and aware of your pets and their behavior when booking.
-Plenty of private parking in driveway
-No parties or events allowed, please reach out if you have questions regarding the nature of your stay.
-A damage waiver, covering up to $1,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
-Washer, dryer & dishwasher
-You must be 25 years or older to rent this property.

We loved our stay at Falcon Perch and the California quail in the yard. It’s an excellent space. It’s up in the hills where the road is a bit unimproved w no street lights at night. Other than that you will love your stay!

Falcons Perch was a great stay. I like to stay in places that are a little more private and out of the way. We saw deer outside the windows and we found the extra leaves for the table in the garage which came in handy when my cousin and her husband came over for dinner. All 7 of us fit comfortably at the table for a quiet dinner. We also found the electric lantern and flashlights came in handy when a brief wind came through with some heavy rain and a tree took out power and access to the one road leading to the property. We couldn't access the property for about 4 hours, so we discovered Mad Dog Brewing in Blue Lake with food, music, and great drinks. Advice to future renters in rural areas: First be aware that things may happen outside of the property owner's control. It should not detract from your experience; it is part of the experience. For us it turned out great.

Overall, we had a good stay. The home was as described and had everything we needed. The check-in process was straightforward. It was a comfortable place for our trip
