Hanalei Bay Resort is on the beautiful island of Kauai's Northshore. It is a luxury beachfront resort that overlooks Hanalei Bay. Offering exquisite Ocean and Mountain views with lush Hawaiian Gardens across 22 acres. It boasts 6 Tennis courts, 6 Pickleball courts, 2 Pools (large lagoon style and a quiet adult pool), Hot tub, Fitness center, 2 Restaurants and shares a Beach with the famous One Hanalei Bay Hotel. Next door is the Par 72 Championship Golf Course The Princeville Makai. Voted one of the most beautiful golf courses in the World.
This condo sleeps 8. Master bedroom has a king size bed, bathroom and private lanai. 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds, bathroom and a connecting lanai with the living area. Living room has a murphy bed. Dining area, full kitchen, washer and dryer and air conditioning (very few condos offer air conditioning in HI). 3 Lanai's offer more outside living with dining table and chairs as well as chaise lounge chairs, overlooking the spectacular Hanalei Bay and surrounding mountains.
It may be hard to leave the resort with so much to offer, but you don't want to miss out on all that Kauai has to offer. A short walk away you can find Hideaways Beach (my personal favorite), Queens Bath, and many other secluded beaches and snorkeling spots. Princeville has a 2.1 mile walking/jogging path to enjoy. The famous Town of Hanalei is a short 3 mile drive away, offering a 2 mile crescent white sand beach and fun beach town. Great spot for surfing or catching a Catamaran to the Na'Pali Coast. The town of Hanalei offers great dinning and shopping.
I have spent a lot of time on all the Hawaii Islands and each one is very special, but I believe Kauai is the most beautiful of all. And the North Shore is the most stunning area of Kauai. I love that Hanalei Bay Resort is so close to everything I love on the Northshore and offers tremendous amenities.

Kauai can be prone to termites at night if there is high humidity and no rain. They only last 30-40 minutes and can be dealt with by spraying them with Windex. Notify the front desk if you have an issue. The resort has a regular pest management program.

The condo was as depicted. It was spacious and comfortable. The living area had a Murphy bed (which I missed in the description) so each of my 3 kids had their own bed which was nice. The view is spectacular! It rained the day before we arrived and we had the most magical view of waterfalls all over the mountains above hanalei as well as the bay. The kitchen was a bit sparse-as an example there was only 6 plates so as a family of 5 that meant washing dishes after every single meal vs filling up the dishwasher. Laundry in unit was a big plus. The second bedroom does not have ac as described so it did get rather stuffy. There are two mini split units one in the master and one in the living room. I was also not completely clear when I booked it that this is a time share so I don’t think you always will get the same unit maybe just the same style. There was also an additional fee collected upon check in by the time share company that runs the resort. The beach you can access from the resort was lovely. The pillows could use a serious update but the beds were comfortable. One of the big downsides to our trip was how limited restaurants were in general especially right in the area. The few we went to also did not seem super jazzed about accommodating families. It was an overall theme I got in Kauai. I’m not sure if they aren’t in love with tourists or just not fans of little kids as a theme. It was our first trip to Hawaii with kids in tow.

The view off this balcony might be the best view from any hotel we’ve stayed in. It is breathtaking. The host was very helpful and informative. The check in process was great, but you have to go a ways to your room so they drive you in a golf cart. The location is beautiful and the resort pool and hot tub are great. Keep in mind you have to drive 15 mins or so to get to restaurants or grocery unless you’re eating at a hotel restaurant. But it is to be expected in Kauai- lots of driving to get anywhere! The a/c gets nice and cold but only in the living area and one bedroom. The other bedroom got warm at night. The beach is a ways down the hill but if you request a golf cart they will drive you there too.The only big negative for us was the bedding. The sheets and blankets are thin and scratchy and the pillows are flat. The rooms are also pretty dated, the pictures looked nicer. All in all it was a great trip!
