From coffee at sunrise to champagne at sunset, Casa Montaña delivers comfort,
serenity and the most spectacular ocean views in the area. Though excellent activities, including beaches and waterfalls, are just moments away, you may find it hard to leave the house.
A great room (kitchen/dining/living/television), five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths (with locally sourced, botanical toiletries), and a bonus sitting room make your stay comfortable, with plenty of space to spread out. Outside, among the professionally maintained landscaping, are a pool area, and a gazebo with its own grill, refrigerator, sink, dining table and hammock. Birds, butterflies and hummingbirds appear with charming regularity – spot a spectacular blue Morpho butterfly for extra luck. Toads, lizards and other small animals wander the property.
Casa Montaña boasts the area’s best concierge, Alex, who is available to answer
questions and book activities from the moment you choose Casa Montaña. Alex is
friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He speaks excellent English and will arrange for your initial grocery shopping, private transportation, private chef service, tours and activities. Guests invariably say his services, along with superb cleaning provided by Jose and Maricel during their stay, made Casa Montaña a true paradise.
Casa Montaña is located fifteen minutes up a scenic mountain road from Dominical, a must-visit beach town with dining, grocery shopping, souvenir browsing, and surfing lessons.

Casa Montana is a gem! We stayed there for 8 nights and it is such a beautiful house! We were a family of 4, 2 elderly parents. Since we have been to CR previously, we knew what to expect (driving up an unpaved mountain road in a 4x4). Once we got to the house, the view is breathtaking! You can’t describe it & pictures don’t do it justice!The house is well thought out & well maintained, kitchen is well stocked and the pool is amazing - if you don’t want to leave the house, you don’t have to! The patio is set-up with a grill, sink and fridge (which is so wonderful for when you want to grill).Everyday, toucans were around the house and we even had macaws flying. It was great to see all the butterflies and wildlife around the gardens & house.Alex is a great help with whatever you need and is a great resource. He was very helpful while we stayed there.We went to Uvita beach, Hermosa beach, Dominicalito & Dominical beach (where we were able to ride the waves). We did a cocoa tour in Playa Hermosa which was the best cocoa tour we ever had. We also took the truck tour to get to Nauyaca waterfall. Another day, we went to the Uvita waterfall-a favorite spot for us. We went to an Eco Termales (about 40min away from the house) on someone’s property and it was great.But after every activity, we looked forward to return back to the house, relax, enjoy the pool and the views. It is such paradise & we can’t wait to return and stay at beautiful Casa Montana!

We spent 43 fantastic days there. We had our kids and their families come and stay over the holiday. The house and yard were large enough to give us our own space and not feel crowded. The house is close enough to places if we felt like going out. I would definitely come back! Can’t say enough about Alex, Jose & Shirley to keep things running smoothly

This house did not disappoint. The layout was spacious enough to be comfortable for our family of 11. This mountain-top retreat was a great location to allow us to experience various adventures such as surfing, ziplining, sport fishing, snorkeling, and exploring Manuel Antonio National Park. We loved visiting Dominical as well.Two things to note: (1) You need a 4x4 for the drive up the mountain; (2) There are power outages at times.PS. The property manager, Alex, was amazing to work with and responded quickly to every question.The views of the ocean and the mountain are amazing. The sunrise is beautiful as it comes over the mountains. We loved birds visiting daily as well.
